C2C SVN Changelog

Its a hard life of a modder :) Some players complain about something and to fix they problems you create another problems for other players :/
 
Some units are useless because in same time there is better ones avaible and no need to use them.

For example in modern times tanks are so powerful that building infantry units is almost useless. In real life tanks are not so numerous and most of the armies consists on light vehicles/infantry units. Look at this list:

260 000 Humvies and only 6 344 tanks :)

Would increasing the build and upkeep cost help this problem?

Moved to module Alt_Timelines:
- All Zebra, Mammoth, Llama, Bear and Deer units to Megafauna module
- Repeating Crossbowman to Clockpunk module
- WarWheel to Steampunk module

I usually try to disable a majority of them by combing through all of the modules and disabling them by hand. Sometimes it introduces errors though. Haven't played C2C in a while because of the bloat, but that's my personal opinion is all.

With the latest SVN, when I try and copy the version from my SVN update folder to the active folder I keep getting three instance of "file names too long for destination folder" for the Repeatingcrossbow.

Hmm Ill look it today. Should be easy to fix.

- Fix for the by Flinx re the wonders. For mine, MrAzure and FaustMouse.
- Test change for slaves settled specialists verses settled normal ratio. Food specialist only.
- Subdued horses can settle as horse resource sometime after Sedentary lifestyle (50% chance of success). Later 100% chance and get pasture. If folks think this is the way to go then I will do it for the other herd and hunting animals.
- New animals Parrot and Raven. Need to change the graphics a bit.

it says "artdinfo '' was not found"
then "artinfo 'Error' was not found"

on the other side - creating new game works

- moved all animals to new directory art/units/animals (similar to heroes units)
- created new Animals_CIV4ArtDefines_Unit.xml for animals
- removed all animals from CIV4ArtDefines_Unit.xml
- sorted all animals in Animals_CIV4ArtDefines_Unit.xml in alphabetical order
- removed duplicated files (Bear, Lion, Wolf, Panther) and useless KFM files (less then 8Mb data)
- put Indian_sparth units to FPK

Cleaning in C2C1.FPK
- removed useless files (buttons, leaderheads, units)
- re-writing of DDS files (buttons & screens)

And we got ~55Mb less data.
 
Does this fix the red blob on some animal units? like wild wolves, skunk maybe another...more not sure ?

- Move parrot and Raven art into the new animals folder
- Fix Sargon files for buildings - the extra instance problem
- minor fix to volcano Python
- actually add the raven and parrot units.

edit 7217 update

- Fix red blob for wolf and Master Hunter line's companion dog.
