C2C SVN Changelog

From my perspective it was more like "Start playing C2C, set up for game. ERROR you have chosen a Nation to Play! Continue or Exit?"

It's not a player that's made a mistake, it's the modder.

If the error is coming up its because something has been done that the code cannot consider safe to run and will likely cause a crash at some point if it is.

Yes, things have been tweaked before the error messages were reinstalled (properly) that have caused an environment where the dependency tags cannot be programmed as they once were. Yes that is frustrating and should be fixed (and the only one among us who was going to you've now offended because you're complaining that it's the error message itself that is at fault).

No, it cannot be ignored that it will cause a problem until it IS fixed in the code.
 
Updates 7639-7642
  • Worker Builds Audit (Not many real changes here, just better organized and filled in some skipped builds on some units.) A Document HERE now tracks this so should be updated if any builds are changed (this only applies to basic general application land worker units.)
  • Fixes problems with improvement builds on peaks
  • Fixes a text display issue with improvement upgrades
 
I have been getting freeze-ups sometimes when I give one of my gatherers the auto-promoted, causing the system to lag up, unable to alt-tab, and have to do ctrl+alt+delete to shutdown civ 4 though task manager.

I still wish that there was a way that before your unit is built, auto-promotion and auto-upgrade is on automatically without me having to do it to each and every single unit that i built, which helps cut down on micromangement big time and possibly help prevent the auto-selection after turn on gatherers/workers when they earn a promotion when auto-promotion has not been toggled.

Wrong thread, pls post in bugs and crashes thread, and also look at post # 1 on how to enter certain things, thx. and t there is a way to do just what you want also, but again, wrong thread.

  • Makes all promotions that don't generate a negative valuation for AI selection processes gain a default minimum value.

  • Fix: stops the Air Raid Interface and Mission availability when the unit has taken its turn already.
 
Hey guys, new to forums, nice work you did here :shifty:
I've read about v34 having few problems with MP, so I figured I will try to download svn version instead. Did everything as instructed, but the problem is, that once I start a game (SP, doesn't matter play now or custom) it crashes to desktop soon after it's starts loading (sometimes half a second after text "init graphics", other prior that, but around same time that text should appear. Cleaned .ini file in my games, cache is cleared, yet it doesn't want to work. So did I miss something or there's a bug in code atm?
SVN updated it to 7659 (shouldn't be 7660? Pardon me, used this program one short time before this)
Reverted to v34 version and it works fine.

1) Please put such reports in the bug thread.
2) Welcome to the C2C forums! :D
3) You do need to update to v3.19 on the base BtS before the mod will work (but you had it running fine on v34 so I don't think that's it.)
4) You cannot just merge in changes with a new fileset. If you're getting a new mod folder it needs to be used on its own.
5) If these measures don't fix the problem, let us know and we'll look into it further.
 
Thanks! Ya, sorry, my bad. Yup, game is updated to 3.19 . I didn't merge folders, I kept v34 seperated (called it "Caveman2CosmosOld" before putting new release). I released it from SVN too. Should I keep writing here or go to bugs folder?
