Is the Aesthetic Appreciation promo supposed to reduce worker speed with no benefit besides the culture bonus in cities? While it does make sense considering the name is it intended for a GP building to have empire-wide downsides?

Yes. See final outcome of discussion here. I can't find the original discussion on the bug thread:(.

It is such a minor malus, easily countered.

If you have a suggestion to improve things please post on the above thread. It is still up for discussion. For starters I think the beginning tech may be too late. Thanks.

So since the next C2C versio is taking a while to come out I have decided to give this SVN thing a try. So far I have gotten the TortoiseSVN to download the "updates" as it should, but my question is how do I use these "updates". Do I just copy them over the existing files in my C2C folder and continue my current game, or is there a way to play and not to overwrite the existing stable release of C2C?

There 2 other reasons(bugs) I want to give this a try.
1. Transports don't show how many they can carry.
2. I have a quest to build 11 colosseums, but because I have(I guess it is) Circus Maximus which creates Colosseum in every city, for some reason game doesn't count for those "auto created" colosseums and so I'm unable to finish the quest.
3. I Also got the "create 11 trimeres" quest at medieval era, but I no longer could build trimeres anywhere. I was able to solve this by placing 11 trimeres with WB.

Tried using search but could not find any info, and that 15 second search rule didn't help my resolve

- Make a backup copy of your current Caveman2Cosmos folder (just in case)
- Delete everyting in your Caveman2Cosmos folder
- Copy all files you downloaded with TortoiseSVN in the now empty Caveman2Cosmos folder

Do not simply copy the files over your current installation since a lot of files will then remain and have undesirable effects.

I don't know if you can copy the SVN version in a different folder (such as Caveman2CosmosSVN) if you want to keep both versions; that sounds a bit risky...

Regarding the bugs, report them in the bug&crashes section (you have a thread for bugs in the non-SVN version).

Ok thanks for the advice man :)
I actually tried just copy/overwrite and....well the game did start, but with "some" errors were encountered . Thanks for the help.

As far as I know, the mod MUST be in a folder named exactly Caveman2Cosmos . Another name will probably work but I've read reports on this forum that it introduces a few bugs.

And yes, delete old versions of the mod and do a fresh download.

this is true is MUST be Caveman2Cosmos, otherwise like you said it will not work properly, at least that's what DH said . /

its also wise NOT to have 2 copies of this mod in the same folder area, it "used" to bleed over, I think it was fixed but not too sure, BUT just to make sure I never have 2 copies of anything in the same folder, renamed something or not, just better that way IMPO/

Not true. You can call the folder anything you like and have as many copies in the Mods folder as you like.

However, if it is not called Caveman2Cosmos the modders can not help you with any bugs or CTDs you have. This is why we strongly suggest that your playing folder be called Caveman2Cosmos.
