Guys, I'm on the latest SVN version and AI seems crazy-spawning battering rams.

hmm battering rams are strength 5. And there are periods when the next strongest unit is only strength 3 (stone axeman), and that period is quite long if you don't have access to obsidian, elephants or horses. So while silly on the surface, it is an effective defense strategy. At least it is a better strategy than spamming hundreds of healers or scouts.

Known issue but please report those things in the bug threads in the future.

Thanks for those fixes Alberts... I believe they were mostly my mistakes so I'm particularly apologetic and appreciative.

It seems that this commit contains many changes which you forgot to mention. Are there plans to add new early hunter because now unlike a human the AI can't hunt until they have access to the Chaser?

  • Returned Hunter AI to wanderer and tweaked their withdrawal chances and some combat class change as mentioned in discussion thread.
  • Made some tweaks to gatecrasher units to address some complaints we got on their ineffectiveness as mentioned in discussion thread.

  • Bazaar, Marketplace and Grocer don't obsolete. (Hint to building makers either have an obsolete tech and no replace buildings; or ensure that all replace buildings can be built before the obsolete tech.

  • Fix Numbat Story and Cuscus Myth

  • Wild animals now use the same subdue outcome as the Subdued Animals.

  • Added UNITAI_HUNTER_ESCORT as possible UnitAI to various explorer units.
  • Added UNITAI_HUNTER as NotUnitAI to various explorer units.
  • Removed the building prerequisites from various hunting units
  • Fixed errors in the AI promotion evaluation leading to wrong promotion choices if units had a UnitAI different from their default UnitAI
  • The AI tech value evaluation now values promotions using the current UnitAI of existing units instead of their default UnitAI
  • The AI no longer ignores NotUnitAI's then upgrading units
  • Fixed CTD's in the Pedia which occurred if the Pedia was accessed from the MainMenu

Something about scorpions and paths being too long as I tried copying the freshly updated SVN into my BtS Mods folder as usual.

I am not much of an Info-person myself, so humble thanks in advance :)

EDIT: Against all reason I decided to update the folder via SVN and now all the subfolders are green :)

EDIT²: Nope, still not working. Upon loading the mod in BtS main menu, i simply get vanilla BtS. Standard background screen with standard custom game options.

- new tech for Rodnovery (needs another tech icon one without the hands in prayer)
- new demand for Village Hall. I am not happy with this because it needs 50 auto buildings per admin building:(
