C2C SVN Changelog

But I can't do the checkout to get started doing the ssh/svn - I believe it finds the PDB file too large to handle. In essence this is a check mate scenario. The SVN simply will not receive new PDB file updates any more at all. So I'll probably just have to post those new ones here. Koshling can draw from the most recent posts of these - and if he can update them to the SVN for us, awesome. It just doesn't work for me.

And I'm on Windows 7 with no plans to EVER upgrade to 8.

No offense, but YOU must have the worst ISP Provider in the US.

Yeah, I can't really TAKE offense given that its a service provided as part of living in this appt complex. This isn't the sort of place where I can get in a land line connection such as cable or dsl. And I'm loath to pay for a better wireless when its still wireless and its paying for something I already have... particularly given the price of those services - whew! NOT cheap.

If I ever purchase a home or move into a normal apartment I'm quite sure I'll be providing myself with some sort of lightning fast and reliable internet service!

All that said, Koshling has noted before that Sourceforge doesn't like to work with the ssh/svn method when the files get past a certain size and the PDB isn't small - 60 meg I think. I also think it might have something odd to do with the 'file TYPE' for some reason.

Yes you can (I have done that for both the C2C SVN and the MP game). Just type this into the checkout box and it should work

Code:

Ok, got it to work finally. Not quite exactly the way you put it ls... that's what I've been doing all along that wasn't working for some reason this time. But I managed to finally make it happen.

Just pushed to SVN (6015):
  • Fixed crash reported by SO
  • Fixed crash reported by Chmoosi
  • Fixed pathing bug reported by n47

I was unable to update my SVN due to what appeared to be a corrupt PDB&DLL archive ZIP (Tortoise gave an error on that file when trying to update). Having spent some time trying to resolve the error (and googling around it), I failed to find a solution. As a result I have DELETED the old PDB/DLL archive (you can still find it via the repo-browser if you absolutely need to) and replaced with the latest version (corresponding to the above). I don't think anyone but me was really making use of the history anyway, so hopefully this won't materially impact anyone.

So after all that effort to get it committed it was corrupt on arrival anyhow huh? Maybe that's somehow what the problem was in the first place... Hopefully it will work properly to update to now.

1. I will try to find a color one, but many of them look cartoony.

2. Ick no! :gripe: As someone who plays with unrestricted leaders having the country in the picture is very confusing. Not to mention it looks extremity ugly. Like you just slapped the images together.

So really want all leaders fixed so they don't have random maps of their countries forces into their leaderhead pictures.

Not to mention leaders are really disconnected from their historical nations now that we have the whole culture system.

Thats because i dont know how to use Alpha channels.

Does everyone just like the LH's and NO country??

Alpha channels have nothing to do with it. In fact I don't think leaderhead pictures even use one. Only their buttons do.

Thats what i am saying, if you put alpha channels in then the country would look ok with them and blend in better, like they do in Civ V.

It is ridiculous to use images of leaders with map in diplo screen.
Conceptually, players meet other leaders face to face through the screen. So there is no place where the map can be.
It is same in Civ V. Image of leaders with maps are used in civilization selection screen, not in diplo screen.
Not to mention that the maps even aren't the ones of their actual territory in game.
