Your Hall of Fame file is located in C:/Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Conquests, and named HighScores.cv3. You can open it up in notepad and delete the rows (scores) you want.

Is it possible to change the number of players in a multiplayer game to more than 8 or is this the maximum?
If not, is there an editor to increase the number of players?

Cheers

Hi, I'm new to playing Civ again (played it for a while a year or so ago).
Can someone tell me how to easily adjust the screen resolution so that it doesn't default to 800x600?

I saw some bit on this thread about people playing with different resolutions, but how did they change them?

Thanks!

The default is actually 1024 x 768. If you use a resolution other than this, and don't edit the Conquests.ini file (in your Conquests folder), it will default to 1024 x 768. By adding the line "KeepRes=1" to your Conquests.ini file, and using a resolution over 1024 x 768, you'll get a different resolution in game. :)

Anyone know if a US copy of Conquests bought would work in the UK? I can't see any reason why it wouldn't, but I thought I'd check first.

While playing the Persians in the rise of Rome (very good scenario!) I noticed that The Celts captured a Greek great leader! He went from Greek light green to celtic dark green and headed off to the nearest Celt city. I was allied with the Celts at the time so I didn't attack him to see if I could capture him. Anybody else seen this?

I also like that Scenario very much. In fact I've a survey (was it in this site?) were it's the most popular scenario in Conquests.

I've NEVER seen that (capture of GL)!
Are u sure it was a capture and not a coincidence (die of one Greek GL and appearence of one Celt GL)?

I just got finished with the WWII scenario and am wondering why I was unable to build the bomb. Does a player need to get to fusion in a different order?

Well, that could be the case.

Is there any difference between Tribal Council and Despotism?

If you have both gov'ts in a scenerio, chances are they will be different somehow. You need to read the civilopedia and see what that says for both of them. If a scenerio gov't has the same name as an epic game gov't, it doesn't mean it will be the same either.

I remember a while back that Fairfax said that they would fix the spearman vs tank thing. Could someone please tell me how it was fixed?

What I've heard is that they would fix this for Civ IV.

As far as I know, it is not "fixed" in Civ III, I think it can still occur.

Someone has to win the Lottery.....Spearmen win occasionally too!

What are the rules for units healing when not in your own territory without Battlefield Medicine?
I was playing the Mesopotamia conquest and my ekidu warrior healed while fortified on a grassland, but the warrior on the desert did not. Does the terrain matter, or was this just a random event?
