The first battles between Persia and Macedonia took place to day. Sadly, luck was mostly on the Macedon side.

Outside our town of Ancyra, two hoplites were killed and one horseman. Another horse was severely injured.
At Iconium, Alexander himself was redlined to only 3HP. We could easily have killed him off, but we gracioulsy let him live as we wanted to totally secure controll over Iconium the next turn.

Persia's losses: 3 immortals, 2 archers, 2 horsemen.

Macedon reports that the battle outside Ancyra resulted in the loss of one of our brave horsemen. However the battle for Iconium leans more in our favor as a Persian imortal is put out of his misery.

A glorious and lucky day for the Persian empire!

First, a golden age was anounced when a immortal killed of a macedon hoplite outside Ancyra. In the same battle, one of our horsemen killed of a macedon archer.

Later, our 2 horsemen who sought to reinforce the town of Iconium, took up pursuit of Alexander's fleeing and damaged army. One horseman died heroically, but the other survived, and put Alexander to rest!
