A massive force of Persian heavy cavalry rode out of Miletus, attacking the Greek city of Sardis. The city was well fortified, and the war did not fare well for the Persian in the beginning, but after several attacks the city defences were broken and the city captured, though after the loss of 6 Persian heavy cavalry.
The Persians also killed two heavy cavalry and captured a worker outside Sardis, no losses.
In the north between Cyzicus and Byzantinum the Persian army attacked a group of Macedonian heavy cavalry south-west of them, killing and forcing them to flee after heavy bombardment and attack of Immortals. One immortal was lost in that attack.
In the Mediterranean, west of Miletus, two Persian galleys destroyed a Macedonian galley, loosing one.
Killed 2 Persian Heavy calvary near Byzantium and lost 1.
Killed 3 Persian Heavy calvary near Cyzicus
