C3C PBEM: "Magwa" - French & Indian War scenario

Huron & Algonquin

Algonquin Shores

The British continue to land on our shores. Thanks to the near invisibility of the Native Raiders the British have not advanced far - yet. A raid was launched against their landing party.

Achak recounts his experiences:

The cold of winter had captured the land many weeks ago. Myself and the rest of my brothers longed to return to our shealter to dwell with our loved ones through the harsh season.

Alas, although many had died, the British refuse to give up their attack. Although the cold reduces their strength, the British refuse to return to their loved ones and allow us this time of peace. Warlust rages through their bodies heating them against winter's chill.

With no alternative, we raided the British positions this month killing many but not all. We appeared suddenly like disaster and killed the redcoats before they could move. Our arrows struck as quickly as lightning and as soundlessly as an autumn breeze.

We killed 25 British soldiers who had the courage to stand like men against us. The other 20 fled like frightened sheep. Although great, our victory came at a horrible price. 40 of my friends including my own brother, Ahanu, will not return home. The British will die for this tragedy.

Let it be known to the redcoats that the Algonquin Warriors will not cower from any battle! Winter holds no fear for us and now we know that the redcoats can bleed. Never believe that we shall talk without action!

Hey,

GPS to Pinman.

Algonquins Massacred At Fort Mohawk.

Southwest of Ft. Mohawk
With the arrivial of the new North American
Commander General Agathia "Aggie" Gilpen
,
General Howe
was releaved of command.

Gilpen took little time to respond to the Algonquins threat southwest
of the fort. He ordered a nearly impossible winter amphibious assualt
on the indians. The 36th, 37th & McMurphy's Grenadiers attacked from
boats launched from the HMS Joan. The number of Algonquin dead was
not truely known as the field of battle was bombarded by the forts Royal Navy Squadron.
General Gilpen then setout to confront the Hurons at Lorette.

French Landing at Cayuga Defeated.

Cayuga
The French being just as crazy as the new commader
Gilpen had made a landing in a snowstorm outside the
once Iroquoi village. Colonial Militia from areas close to
the village were rushed through the same snowstorm to
confront the French. The French corpses will be found in
the spring. The furs will be taken now. ;)

I knew that moving to that hill was a mistake, I just knew it!:(

Interesting save this time around. The usual petty battles and such.

Oh incidently a British City has been razed. You'll hear about it tommorow.

I could find out what town it is by using CivAssitII. But I wouldn't.
As the team all agreed we don't use this because of the fact that
CivAssitII shows Hidden Units. It is also outlawed at "Kamikaze Soul".

I named the file incorrectly. I apologize for the delay- It has been resent.

Incidently here was my turn:

Fort Chriswell burned.

A British Milita killed two Huron Braves (3/3's) going down to 1/3 HP.

I killed one of the Enemy Militas on the Algonquin shores losing a WP.

It's been so long that I don't have all the data.

I hope that I will be able to speed up play on this one.

Apparently I sent a corrupted save file......

I don't know what to do. Should I replay it?

Is there anything else we can do?

Go ahead and see if it happens again. What happened?
The Gifthorse files you sent were also in a file style that
I have to download to a desktop file then copy to saves.
That was just this last turn. Could that be the problem.

In FertileLands we had to go back 20 some turns to get
the file right. It must have been something just recent.

I have two saves to play right now.

One of them I cannot play right now for game-related reasons so if I can i'll play this tonight.

Latest tommorow.

It's done - I hope this works.

Hey,

GPS to Pinman.

British Forces Move on French Cities.

Three Rivers
When word of his being replaced as the Commander of British
forces in North America General Howe
was enraged. Howe
considered Gilpen a overcautious drunkard. A clown. The
victory over the Algonquins at Ft. Mohawk had shown Howe
that he needed to take action. Knowing that he had been
replaced Howe ordered the 46th, 47th & McGree's Highlanders
to La Galette.

General Howe then moved his 50th RoF & Pepperell's 51st RoF
to Three Rivers.

Colonial Militia destoryed the War Party (?) that had burned
the fort.

I did.

I've been putting this off for the last few nights for various reasons.

I'm going to play it in the morning as I've got a splitting headache right now.
