C3C PBEM : "Murat" - Napoleonic scenario-based PBEM (level : newbees)

I believe they would be Ottoman ships.
I have not received the save yet.

Oops, forgot to send the save. GPS.

Regarding the ships, they are definitely Austrian, unless you're sailing under a false flag.

This is off the west coast of France (I suspect they departed from Brest), not the southeast. I'll be sure to look out for Ottoman ships though. :D

Hanover suffered an intense Artillery attack, which was followed by an all-out assault on the city. It fell to the Russian Empire, which had the following losses: 3 Guards and 1 Cossack.

Jaegers and Cossacks Killed 3 Fuziliers nearby Hanover. Lost 2 Cossacks.

Will play tomorrow.

You know, I think all this talk of throwing in the towel from Russia and Austria could have been just the slightest bit premature.

The last 5k of VPs look like a hard slog for the Brits. Thanks to all the alliances I was so desperate for earlier I have no soft targets left. I either have to attack what's left of Spain before Austria can, attack Austria directly, or wait for Austria or the Ottomans to invade the British held parts of Iberia.

Meanwhile you lot are racking up scores of VPs from your smaller neighbors. :king:

Ottoman forces have attacked Austria. Taking advantage of the war between the European Powers, we have decided to expand our Empire into Eastern Europe.
An Austian cavalry unit was attacked and destroyed near Milan. We lost one Sipahi Cavalry in the exchange. An Austrian Transport was sunk in the Adriatic. Venice and Zagreb were captured with no loses.

To the glory of the Greater Ottoman Empire.

We cannot accuse the Ottomans of outright duplicity, as they have been ignoring our attempts at diplomacy for centuries.
I am not sufficiently motivated to look for old communiques to see if they ever did confirm a joint invasion of Spain, as I suspect not.

However, we curse all footling nations who are seemingly content with second best.

We kill an Ottoman cavalry outside Budapest, and an English ship off their south west coast.

Our armies head east, abandoning our Spanish gains, and two of the three towns are recaptured by the Spanish.

GPS, Finally!

- Britain signs a Right of Passage agreement with Spain.

- A British cavalry army marches unopposed into Barcelona. Austrian troops leaving the city are still visible crossing the mountains.

- His Majesty's Navy's run of bad luck continues. A MoW went down to a 2/4 Austrian SotL without damaging it. A SotL followed up and sunk the Austrian.

The Ottoman navy attacks and sinks an Austrian SotL in the southern Adriatic Sea with the only vessels we had available, transports. We lost 3 transports in the engagement.
Near Budapest an Austrian Elite Hussar is knocked down to 1 HP by Ottoman artillery, then attacked by a Janissary unit.

5/5 Janissary vs 1/5 Hussar ---> 4/5 Janissary, Hussar RIP

Ottoman forces advance on Budapest.

Ottoman forces occupy Budapest and Sibiu.

Budapest: The two defenders were knocked down to 1 HP each by Artillery then the city was attacked by Sipahi Cavalry. We lost 1 Sipahi in the attack.

Sibui: the lone defender was knocked down to 1 HP by Artillery then the city was taken by our Sipahi cavalry.
