This month it was the turn of the Russian Air Force to shine, as 2 Elite Panzer divisions south of Vitsyebsk were bombed so thoroughly that they ceased to exist. Otherwise, our work gangs without number started repairing damage to some roads that the Germans bombed and hit only through sheer luck and no skill whatsoever.

This was a quiet month for the Germans. On a positive side, we did make peace with Spain. They were very eager to make peace with us. Sweden, however, is still holding out.

There is no sign of any Panzers this month, as the Russian winter's chilly grip started to take its hold on the invaders. The word is that all tracked and espeically the axeled vehicles are up to their bumbers in viscuous, slushy mud, and can't go anywhere!
A German TOW was killed North of Vilnius, and 2 German Infantry were killed via bombers while protecting workers west of Vilnius. Transportation network will be restored to Riga shortly. There are high hopes as some of the Factories in the cities around Moscow are coming on-line soon, so they can churn out war material much faster.

Another quiet month for the Germans. We are still rebuilding our forces after our stupidly disaster of losing all those panzers in north Russia.

The Italians are up and running. The people of Italy were so thrilled to hear of the great advances on the English empire that they crowned Rcoutme as King. He was sort of hoping for emperor, but King is good!
We killed some of Alexandria's population and bombed the road leading to the city.

I am playing other PBEM but we have decided to cancel some of them , having arrived to the conclusion that it just doesn't work. i am referring to the long scenarios about the middle ages. There just isn't any short term objectives worthwehile and we all got bored after a while.
The only scenarios that seem to work for PBEM with this game are the shorter ones like the Pacific and this WWII one where there are limited objectives in a shorter term.
By the way, do any of you people play any other game (different to CIV) by PBEM that you could recommend?

This was a good month for the German war machine. After several quiet months Der Furher was beginning to think his field commanders were getting soft. Now it appears they were just grouping their forces for an assualt. And an assault they made, albiet a small one.
