Well I didn't mention that you finally got to kill Zarkov on the bridge in a final climatic pistol shooting.

I meant the actual developers who made CoD4.......its just CoD2 with some next skins and a few bells and whistles tacked on.

When I played the demo for 4 (havingp layed a bit of CoD2 at a friends) I could tell immediately it was a CoD game. The gameplay was quite similar but there ARE improvements in 4.

if you don't like the CoD gmaes then stop complaining.

No?

Its not improved at all, its the same game just with the typical bells and whistles "new features" that games add these days. How is the industry ever going to progress if games like COD and Halo keep selling like they do? There are so many other better FPSs out there that smoke the more "popular" series by miles. COD has been the same game since the first one and has only been reskinned and had minor tweaks made to the core gameplay, not to mention that by the time the second one even came out its gameplay was already prehistoric.

Yeah, but at least they havn't ruined it. I still enjoy CoD as well as Red Orchestra, Far Cry and the HL2 mod Hidden: Source which are a step or so above (especially Red orchestra).

Call of Duty 4 is the best. Infinity Ward just gets how to make great games.

(Oh and, I got from Private to the rank just below 2nd Lieutenant in just 7 and 1/2 hours.

I completed campaign about week ago. Replay value = 0. Tried with harder difficulty and AI gets sick accurate it's not even fun anymore.

ummm.........for a while now........

Yeah it's kind of been this way for years. All of the CoD games are linke that, IDK about BF2 and later but BF1942 "singleplayer" is exactly the same as multiplayer but with bots. Red orchestra has a practice mode but that's what it is, practice against bots (and only a couple of bot AI levels are really appropriate for use, the others are too freaking brainlessly ******** or godlike sharpshooters).

Prey has a really good (if linear) singleplayer, I havn't seen anyone on the multiplayer but it doesn't allow many players anywyas. The Hafl-Life series has superb singleplayer (if, again, linear) and superb and extremely moddable mutliplayer.

And then there's Portal. Which is a FPS and a little linear but again absolutely fantastic, and definately one of the best games ever and doesn't have multiplayer.

Bioshock does'nt have MP either. I think the problem is, and most companies are noticing this, is that games like FPS, without multiplayer, don't have replayability unlike games like GTA and RTS. I think the problem is they're doing too much with the MP and not enough on the single player

Just got the M14.....sweet as hell. I'm popping heads left and right. It's CQC capability could be better though, even with steady aim the shots fly around.

I love me MP5, as well as me M14. I just got to 2nd Lieutenant I, sadly, the G3 sucks, and the Iron lungs aren't needed for me.

Seriously, MP5 with Red dot FTW. I had a 10 kill streak with this beauty in only 30 seconds.

BTW, is there any map where I can have a 30 foot drop? I wanna finish that challenge.
