Can you remember which leader you played as in your first Civ IV & Warlords game?

Vannila: Frederick - I really wanted to play as Germany on the Earth map. I sucked pretty bad but it was my first game so whatever! Got invaded by Rome.

Warlords: Churchill I think. I'm not sure. It was either him or Augustus.

Vanilla: England and Elizabeth, I think. England because I've always felt a connection to your little island; Elizabeth because I've never liked the historical Queen Victoria -- Elizabeth, on the other hand, had fire.

Warlords: The Vikings. My beloved Vikings. Ah...

I don't have Warlords, but for the rest the answer is pretty simple:

Germans: Frederic, because I go for the panzer units, then usually winning a domination victory.

Civ 1 & 2 I played the Romans first, as from Civ 3 I'm in German mood (perhaps my study period 99-2000 over there influenced me too much)

My first Warlords game was with Brennus, on a Rocky Pangea map.

lol i'd come off the back of utterly dominating civ2
i thought i'd give myself an easy start,
i picked elizabeth at *only* monarch level.....

big mistake rofl,
i distinctly remember being over-run with macemen,
and not having any idea why i couldnt produce axes....
i didnt realise that i needed copper d'oh,
it took me 3 games to figure out the purpose of resources!
one game,i was churning out musketmen and i had discovered infantry!

Vanilla: Peter of Russia. I went random leader.

Warlords: Hannibal of Carthage. I wanted to learn about the Charismatic trait, and his Unique Unit appealed to me.
Hannibal is now my favourite leader.

BTW, Civ 3 is my first civ game. Played Roman (can`t remember leader)- still tutorial.

I'm a brit, so it was an obvious choice. I also wanted to try the Redcoats.

I always play random now to make things interesting.

Won't know about Warlords until the New Year.
