What's the availability status of Civ4 in Canada? My local EB at Masonville in London, ON told me on Monday that Canada "is always a day behind for releases." I don't really buy that... hopefully it's not true.

The guys here in Orillia at EB Games say that they will have their copies Thursday Oct 27. Also Bestbuy has them on their website bestbuy.ca on SALE tomorrow for 49.99 can. I just got confirmation that my pre-order will arrive Thrursday at 5:00pm through Fedex and EB Games. Wal-mart is was also a no-go. Same story, Thursday release. I was pretty upset yesterday that my preorder was not coming.

In Mississauga, I checked with the local EB. The representative said "the shipping order is showing up so it'll be in later today. Sometime around 12 to 3."

it seems in Canada we will have to wait until the 27th. However if someone finds it it would be nice to point the city and the store.

It was on their shipping order at EB out here to yesterday but they never got it so dont get to excited about that. there are 2 EB games here one said they have another shipment coming in later this afternoon the other says the have 3 more shipments coming in today so Im crossing my fingers.

also I pre-ordered in store from EB if the store I didnt pre-order from has it in can I get my pre-order from them or do I need to get it from the same store I ordered it at?

EB games in Burlington, Ontario has the Pre-orders in, but don't expect the retail versions till tomorrow

I have scouted around Calgary and things are a bust here. Best Buy, Futureshop and EB all say tomorrow afternoon/evening. So one more day of schoolwork.

I've had a preorder with an EB in Etobicoke for several weeks. They just called to tell me my copy's in. I don't know whether they'll have stock on the shelves, though.

The EBgames in Edmonton told me yesterday that it was probably going to be thursday before it came in. I will be checking later today to see if it gets in 'early'.

The one just south of the Erin Mills Town Center EB, along Erin Mills road. It's in the plaza with Walmart. Also, in another thread, someone said they got a copy from the Square One EB already, so people can try there if they don't want to try their luck.

So, the only place in Canada where you can get Civ4 is in Toronto and around it... seems like I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning!

I just picked up my special edition from the EB in Conestoga Mall in Waterloo, Ontario.

They only have the special edition preorders though. They said they're expecting the regular version sometime tomorrow.

The best part was they price matched Futureshop's sales price of 49.99.

Padlock is right, I just called to see if my special edition from the EB in Cobourg, Ontario was in and they said I can pick it up when I'm ready and that the Original copy will be ready Tomorrow. Sorry

Futureshop/bestbuy have it on sale for 49.99 for 26th only, but on their site it says the game is in stores on the 27th. weird disrepency

EB Windsor, Ontario says it has the game in but is only giving it our for pre-orders. No one else has the game.

Ack, yeah. I just checked and it seems like the stores only have enough for the preorder collector's edition. The regular edition isn't here yet, and will probably be here tomorrow.
