Yet another year passes, and the bloodshed keeps on rising...
Turkey begins Reform
Turkey's recently booming economy has led to decisions of increased education, mainly in colleges and universities. This includes more technology, internet access, better trained teachers, and more classrooms. As such, Turkey's education surpasses the United States, and is closing in on Europe. Many foreign students study here, resulting in almost full campuses, and lots of rented apartments. Along with this was the improvement of Turkey's infrastructure, mainly the expansion and repairs of bridges, more roads, and a small subway system connecting most of Turkey's major cities. With the future looking bright, it might be a matter of time before we see Turkey the leader of economy and maybe the leader of the Middle East. Already, refugees are fleeing to Turkey from the UAP and Iran, mainly those who fight the regimes there. Some firefights have begun at the UAP-Turkish border, with several border guards, refugees, and UAP soldiers killed. Who knows where this may lead?
Eye of God Attack Washington DC
The Eye of God has aimed a massive attack on Washington, with over 34,000 Eye of God members (Most of them US citizens) and several helicopters. However, Mendel got reports from an unknown informant and called in the National Guard. The fighting in DC was horrendous, and then, very suddenly, missile launchers from neither side attacked, spreading biological chemical payloads, seemingly from the missing ships attacked by the Crimson Patriots. These missiles killed pretty much everyone in the area, although Mendel and chief staff were evacuated just before the attack. What was left was a 23 member Congress (18 Security Party, 3 Democrats, 2 Republicans), a partially destroyed Capital building, a contaminated White house, a destroyed Supreme Court, 13 dead justices, and a ruined city. (The Smithsonian was relatively undamaged, surprising as much of the fighting occurred outside of the building) We still have fighting within the city, mainly those who survived the biological attack. An effort to find the missile launchers succeeded, but it seems the Crimson Patriots have no affiliation with the Eye of God, and was aiming at taking down the US government, and eventually all other governments.
After this was the attack on the Midwest, mainly by Eye of God members. Fire was spread throughout the wheat fields, resulting in a 40% lost crop. They also managed to somehow seize the Iowan and Missouri governors, who are currently being held at an unknown location. The military was mobilized, and managed to rout the Eye of god there.
Finally, the Mafia struck in Chicago, with some effect on the economy there. Crime in Chicago rose by 300% after many attacks by the Mafia on banks and other businesses. What is surprising is that the Mafia has also taken over Chicago, and has Russian tanks, apparently showing the Mafia's infiltration skills. How the tanks got into the US is unsolved.

The Ta Tries to Root Out Eye of God
After the attack on the Ta by the Eye of god, the Ta seek to avenge their fallen comrades. Their technology has been used to devastating effect in UAPF areas, where many UAPF and Eye of God members were killed. They also struck in Brazil, unintentionally killing many RAFB soldiers and civilians in Rio de Jainero. Brazil applauded killing the RAFB recruitment there, but condemned the attack on civilians. This has led to a reduced Eye of god presence in South America and Africa, where they are already fairly infantile in terms of size.

Second Napoleonic War Report
Things are looking bad for all sides. Let's start in Italy. Italians dug in, and suppressed all fronts, albeit a horrendous attack, by the Werewolves of Thunder, a relatively small group, on the Vatican, where they managed to assassinate the Pope, and new elections have begun. In the Alps, Italians managed to suppress France, and push them back. The EEC held their territory, resulting in partial trench warfare in those parts. The AHSR declared their allegience to Germany, and declared war on the EEC and France, but have only mobilized troops as of now. In Luxemborgia, France has been been pushed out, with heavy fighting. Scandinavia and Denmark declared war on Germany and her allies, but soon, another front was opened, Spain and Portugal declared war on France, and leaked tapes showed that Spain was the funding of the French rebels. No action by these new allies have occurred as of now. CA tried to liberate Italy, with minimal effect, but it did distract France for a moment, when the US military attacked and managed to capture Calais, but failed to take all of Normandy. Germany and France dug in near the German-French zone of operation. This war might bring Europe's economy down if something doesn't bring decisive victory. Eastern Europe has not acted much, with the exception of the EEC. Russia still remains silent, as it seems all connection have been cut, but rumors of Mafia activity are probably false.

I don't got a problem with it, so long as people don't recognize it as anything more than a sort of joke NES, of which it is one of the best. (And I do regularly read it and enjoy watching it)
I especially liked the LOL JESUS EXISTS AND IS SPECIAL KTHXBYE of the latest update. My heart still lies with the lake in Africa with 4 economy centers, though.
It was written much better than that Josef. And seriously, Lake Victoria with so many eco centers is not ridiculous. NESes can turn out differently than real life, and there is no reason why said area cannot be highly profitable. Perhaps it has lots of craftsmen and traders. There could be lots of reasons.

Uhh, yes there is a reason why some regions cannot develop into trade areas. Trade centers didn't just magically pop up throughout history, they popped up where they did for REASONS. Reasons like natural resources, ideal trading location (which Victoria is the complete opposite of). Not LOL AN INFLUX OF CRAFTSMEN!1!11!!oneonetwo. Craftsmen don't just show up someplace either, they grow where there is a market for their goods, resources to produce their goods; basically, motivation to be craftsmen. And even then, their sheer presence doesn't cause trade to magically blossom.
Even then, can you honestly argue that theory? It's completely absurd, especially coming from an experienced NESer such as yourself. Can we just begin importing "craftsmen and traders" to the shores of the arctic sea in Russia (which realistically shouldn't be able to control hardly anything east of the Urals effectively) and expect "trade centers" to develop?
As for Jesus... come on. This is alternate history, a man named Jesus would likely never be born, let alone in 0 AD. Even assuming by sheer coincidence he somehow did, the realities of the region would invariably cause him to follow a different path. And, somehow, if he managed to defy all logic and still follow his path, the circumstances of his death and spread of his faith seem pretty haphazardly explained, which I think can effectively be summed up as "he becomes a martyr and gains a cult following" without much explanation. Basically, it is a complete mockery of all alternate history to artificially throw in a historical figure who arose in completely unique circumstances and give him an identical (and equally important) role following his martyrdom.
And Nuke, I am in no ways making fun of your NES. With the throwing out of realism, it has become a sandbox for conquest and fun, which I applaud, and sincerely enjoy watching. The players enjoy playing too, which is the goal of the NES. But to delude yourself that it has more than a gleam of realism is to ignore the truth.
