CarmenNES03: The New Dawn Preview

aliens for some reason want to harvest Earth for natural resources when there are seven other totally empty planets and hundreds of thousands of smaller objects--remains off the deep end relative to its setting.
We had operations in other regions of the solar system. However, naturally, the Ta were interested in researching a newly-discovered race of sentients. The limited amount of operations we had on earth were the only bits mentioned because they were the only ones relevant to the NES.

Carmen, can i be the Zera? Please? They seem so cool. It's just like the TA, but with a Z.

Oh yea, are you going to post anything about the nations?

sp1023: There are no aliens. Sorry. Even if they were available, I wouldn't allow a new player to play as aliens.

You create your own nation, there are no pre-set nations. Just remember, this is post-apocalypse, which means you shouldn't use real-life names, like India. Make up an original name.

EDIT: Added example of stats.

You may start anywhere. The entire map has at least traces of radiation. Obviously, you should try to take land which is not extremely cold or extremely hot.

sp1023: You're NOT ALLOWED to put anything in nation stats except name, ruler, and government.

Seriously, use common sense.

And on that note,

A. Don't use internet language for names
B. You won't have UUs unless you tell me descriptions, etc.
C. Capitalism isn't a government, unless you want you're nation to be run by businesses.

A lone man with striking resemblance to Andrew Anderson stepped down on the earth and breathed deeply, "Ugh, still has the smell of radiation." He walked east for a bit trying to get his bearings. Finally he arrived upon a valley and decided on the spot that he would start his empire here. He took his flame boxers off and put it on a stick and planted it in the ground and smiled. But now he had to think of a name, so he sat down and thought deeply. Days passed, and still he sat and thought. More days passed, the thin man finally got up and shouted, "This will and forevermore be known as Acimera!"

But what happens if the same thumb keep winning and winning? They should just name him/her king/queen and be done with it, save everyone a sore thumb. :p

I can imagine what happens when someone invades them:

Ahhhh we are being invaded! What do we do?
Let us play thumb wars to determine our course of action.
*Everyone sits to play*
Several minutes later, several cities fall and their army is routed several times, but still they play.
One hour later, the capitol is surrounded and their army has surrendered.
Finally a victor is selected, what will he do?

It wouldn't be hard to redevelop.

But at any rate, the system would quickly get replaced by a despotism, unless people had a religious attraction to the idea. :p
