Caveman 2 Cosmos

I was playing the SVN (most updated version), and I noticed that many of the weather techs (Weather Lore, Meteorology, Long-Range Forcasting, Climate Models) cannot be researched normally. I was wondering if whether or not this was intentional.

Can anyone tell me why my workers are becoming militia? I don't know why this would be a feature, but I would like to turn it off. I have already looked through the bug menu to try to find something, but with no luck.

There is a point in the game where you get militia from building farms but you don't loose workers doing it.

I usually have two workers per city, and just automate them (it can be a real pain to build improvements manually) so I looked at my numbers for the militia and workers combined, and it was twice my city count. I do have conscription, but it doesn't say anything about this.

It only started after I finally updated to 31 from 29 (I know 32 is out, give me a chance to catch my breath)

Hi, I would like to ask whether there have been changes to game speeds in v.32? I started over and with my humble city manage to discover whatever tech in 5 turns, at the same time it is weird that I didn't see Captured Fire Wonder to build, just a corresponding captured fire tech, also in 5 turns, I remember before there was a struggle for fire, and it was challenging. I am playing on Snail speed at Monarch difficulty. Cooking in 5 turns... Me myself in real life in the XXI century did not discover Cooking in 5 turns hehe!

Edit: Ok, I started again, now with Eons speed instead of Snail, I feel the development comfortable. Anyway it seems you revised the prehistoric techs, reducing their number and costs, am I right? And yes, there is no struggle for the fire because it is possible to research Controlled Fire tech with almost no prerequisites in 7 turns on Eons speed... anyway I am enjoying the prehistoric times once again hahaha

At the same time I super-enjoy the Natural Wonders feature, and that you can discover them after you research Language.... At the same time this rule doesn't work yet because other nations start discovering Natural Wonders at the very moment the map is generated, if someone is born with one nearby, without Language.... I imagine how those people communicate to each other about Lake Baikal with no language mwahaha =) At the same time a little question, whether there are plans to do some multi-tile Natural Wonders?

On noble you get one or two free techs at he start I think, and since the AI always plays at noble that means that some AIs likely start with language.

Not so. No free techs or anything. It is the "level playing field" option. Which is why I use it when testing.

Yeah you should NOT be able to get ANY techs what so ever NO matter what speed or level you are playing at.

Whoever edited the GEM maps last (probably to add the natural wonders) didn't clean the maps. Everyone has contact with everyone. You need to edit the world builder save or if you edit it in worldbuilder then the map needs cleaned after.

V32 Question:
Is the Tamed Wolf unit active? I've built the 'Tamer' building and have the preqs (according to the 'pedia: Tech - Bronze Working and building - wolf enclosure), but there is no Tamed Wolf unit available to build. Or is this a 'It will sometimes auto build unit'?

Bug.:blush:I forgot to put a cost to build in. Any ideas what the unit should be equivalent to?

2 minor things I noticed in my current game:
Log Ram is displayed to have "better results from tribal villages". Is this intentional?

When setting a land unit in a city to sentry (care for land units only) the fortified icon is displayed on the units symbol. When setting it to regular sentry the sentry icon.

I believe it should not say that, it was set for NOBadGoodies, for some odd reason, i fixed it, i never seen it, because i never use that unit.

I have Amber resource, stone tools workshop on it and a trail path there, leading to my cities. However I dont see Amber in the list of resources in the city. I was hoping for 1 happy - am I missing something? Do I need to wait for Mining? thanks.

That needs to be fixed. Amber can't be traded until mining at which stone tools workshops go obsolete.
