Ah, ha. You don't have access rights to the folder containing the ini files. Run as administrator is all I can suggest, I still run XP and don't have that sort of problem.

BUT You should promote more!

I think we all should promote more. I have been quiet for a long time, because I didn't want to speak for the Mod Team, but they want us to talk about it. I will say a lot more about C2C. You should also spread the love.

The best things you can do to help C2C, is to talk about it in other forums, gaming, other mods, etc. and participate Tell people what specifically makes it better. More detail for one, more ambitious ideas for another. And the great open team. It really is the ultimate community mod. It is everything Civ 6 should be.

You can help by continuing to play it, to be patient around the changes and new features, and tell everyone what you like, don't like. You can even learn to mod, and help with the help wanted list, share ideas you find that should be in C2C and are in other mods, and be a part of the future of C2C. I promise it could even be better than what Civ 7 will promise. Keep on talking. :)

Hi, I just wanted to tell you how MUCH IT FREAKS ME OUT THAT I FOUND THIS MOD!!!!

Since Civ V is complete dumbed down , I was checking back to RoM:AND forums from time to time, as it was the best civ thing i had knewn, watching for updates, but there where none.

By accident i stumbled across one little post about C2C there.

this got me here.

and now I'm freaking out.

TIME TO PLAY CIV AGAIN!!!!

THANKS A LOT FOR DOING THIS!!!

BUT You should promote more!

There are so many people that are frustrated of Civ V and its dumbness, and want to have some complex civ sim experience.

Tell em and you can SELL that !

Well tell your friends and help spread the word. We are so busy modding that we have not really spend much time promoting. There are some lets plays videos and people's signatures and even the a page on moddb.com (make sure you vote if you like it).

We seriously need an official PR guy to promote us to the world.

Once we release Multi-Maps and the Galactic Era we'll have more PR than we'll know what to do with. That will be something every civ fan will want to see.:)

Just wanted to post here to say how much I like this mod, how pleasantly surprised I was to see Hydromancerx working on this and to offer a few complaints and suggestions.

1. I downloaded the 'extra figureheads' mod but only a few leaders of the new civilizations are animated, those of the vanilla ones are still now, is it supposed to be like that?

2. When do barbarians proper start popping up? I'm playing into the Ancient Age now and I'm only seeing animals and Neanderthals, is there a script that enables barbarian human units and cities which isn't working?

3. Are you planning to add more civilizations in the future? Like Poland or whatever.

4. I'll be more than willing to help you find quotes for technologies. They've always been one of my favourite little things in the game, and I notice that they repeat themselves a fair bit.

5. In terms of PR, I'm member of pretty popular gaming sites like Total War Center. I'm more than willing to make threads there to encourage people to play this, and I'm completely honest in that, as this is easily one of the most addictive mods I've played in quite a while.

1. Yes, the static leaderheads are intended. However, there are some issues with the Extra Leaderheads, so I recommend that you don't use them.

2. Oops, that may be me. I don't know how the Barbarian spawn date is controlled, but I may need to move that back to 8000 BC or so.

3. SO is currently working on many new civs, there have been several in each of the past few releases.

4. See this thread

Might I ask why they're supposed to be static? Some hardcoded restrictions or something?

[/QUOTE] How is it handled now?

Yes and no. there should be a extra leaderheads which is static and another download called "animated leaders" but we have not gotten to that yet.

the main reason for static leader heads, and short movies, is that it makes the initial download smaller.

2. When do barbarians proper start popping up? I'm playing into the Ancient Age now and I'm only seeing animals and Neanderthals, is there a script that enables barbarian human units and cities which isn't working?

They should start appearing around the time you get tribalism. This may depend on your level of play and game speed.

3. Are you planning to add more civilizations in the future? Like Poland or whatever.

New civs are being added all the time.

Im getting a crash after starting a game and playing for about 10 seconds. No error message, just CTD. Downloaded a clean version from the download link. A new dawn works perfect for me, though.

You need to post in this thread, thx:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=461652&page=19

pls post a 1 turn before the CTD autosavedgame, a screenie and what are the circumstances what happened thx. Plus in the BtS folder where the exe is there should be a file called "minidump" provide that also,

Hm i seem to have fixed it by deleting the bts config ini and letting it rebuild. Probably remnants from A new Dawn.

bad idea there, never mess with original stuff. If you want to delete stuff it should be INSIDE the Custom Assets folder (all), plus in the Logs folder deleted ALL (inside).

I've been scouring the C2C threads, and this looks amazing. I'll be spreading the word among my humble group of Civ4 nerds.

I'm certain that this has been covered (but I'm finding answers only in fragments), what exact game settings do you strongly recommend? Rev mod off, it seems. Anything else for max stability/challenging AI?

Thanks again, and truly stunning work (for my 30 seconds of play so far...)
