Caveman 2 Cosmos

From what i am reading lately is that the majority of the cores presently out there (new PC's) are 4 core.
Only the VERY extreme overclocked have 6 core, and you really have to pay for it also:(

Well I got 12 core in mid 2010 and its still working really well :)

I suspect it's an AMD chip with 6 physical cores but those are threaded to twelve logical cores. I have an intel i7 with 4 physical cores and hyper-threaded to 8 logical cores.

It's a Xeon chip running at 3.33ghz... How do you check if its actually 12 cores and not hyper-threaded?

There isn't a Xeon (or any Intel or AMD CPU, for that matter) with 12 actual cores (yet). On the other hand, they do make motherboards for two Xeons. It could be a single Xeon X5680 or W3680 (both have 6 cores and hyper-threading), or various others if it is overclocked.

Are you kidding, i bet that thing will cost you WELL over $4000:( Just for the base/tower.

Ok I just found out its a Xeon W3680

It was about $6,700 back in may 2010... Probably worth a lot less now though even though it runs everything today really well. Basically I was sick of lag and never wanted to experience it again. 2 years later I am still lag free... But unfortunately I am not ai turn loading free for this mod :)

Funny thing is that I actually had the "build your computer" settings quite low. It gave me the option of 128 gig of ram and I was just like OmG but I'll just take 12 lol :)

I just updated the mod and its full of errors loading again. Geeze. Ill wait till someone updates it again.

Update: Thanks to whomever fixed it :)

How can I build the Servants Guild? From what I see I need to have 6 Servants Quartes build in my Empier but if I see the requirment of the Servants Quartes right they can build a maximum of 3 times.

I have a question:

What causes units to suddenly forget their commands/orders? For instance, ill have units on the border under the fortify order. Every couple of turns, ill have to reissue the command for seemingly no reason. Same things happens with automated workers once they run out of work.

I believe a fix for this has just been posted on the SVN (beta).

Currently its impossible on larger maps. Its being looking into such as requiring high wealth housing.

Thanks that would make sense to allow the Servants Quartes to also build when there is a Mansion or Villa or similiar building that usualy have servants.

The fix wasn't aimed at human unit automations, but it might well be that the thing I fixed was behind this. I'm not 100% sure though, so if it still happens try to post an autosave where some unit is going to 'wake up' the following turn so I can figure out what is happening.

When I switched civics from Monarchy to Republic, I seem to have lost the ability to claim tiles. Is that normal, and if so I must've missed the documentation.
