Caveman 2 Cosmos

Dye is now a manufactured resource, it was replaced by 3 map resources Indigo, Henna and Murex (shell fish). That actually all happened in v27 we just got rid of the dummy map dye as we expected that any games started before v27 would have been finished by now.

Oh, ok. Well, I play this particular game with a friend of mine, so we only have 2-4 hours a week. And we started in v26 I think.

So, given that, what is the best possible course of action? There are a couple of murex on my map, but no Indigo or Henna. I suppose I could add a couple where dye was earlier through world builder. But then I'd be just about the only one having it :P

I don't suppose there's a way to randomly add to the entire world map a resource that was not there before....

I wonder how many posts and replies there are in all the C2C threads, would be interesting to tally them and all those for AND, ROM, REVDCM, Revolutions, and Dale's Combat mod; all parts of C2C.
It would be cool to see how many different people posted as well. :)

Bet it's over a million posts easy. Probably more than the development of Civ IV itself!

Is there any way I can play the 1000AD scenario through C2C? It is my favorite scenario, and I would like to see how it goes in C2C.

Hi everyone, I have just started playing C2C and was excited to see a stack limit option but having searched this thread it seems there is a bug where the AI get's stuck in a loop when using the stack limit, but the posts seem to be from an earlier version.

I was just wondering if the latest version still has problems with using a stack limit?
thanks in advance for any replies.
thanks

It has not been converted to C2C. That would need to be done first.

The problem still exists. When it occurs you need to load the save from the turn before, raise the stack limit, play the turn and then put the stack limit back down again.

Ok, so how do I get my old saved game from v27 to play with v28?

Simply load the savegame under the new file set and a popup will ask if you want to recalculate modifiers. Select yes, wait an eternity, and then carry on with your updated game ;)

Ok, thanks. Had to rename the file for v27 and then name the v28 file v27's old name. When I started up v28 and tried to load my game, it told me that it would have to start up the other mod to do so.

Also is there any way that with the next update you could make the worldbuilder more user-friendly? I always end up adding something I don't want and then not being able to erase it without erasing the whole plot that it is on.

Whatever you have selected is placed with the left click and removed (if there's one present) with a right click (in WB). I haven't had any trouble with that working correctly so far...

Is there any possibility of getting the AI 'Danger Count' Bug fix as a patch for V28? That sounds like a relatively major & simple fix. One would think it would also signaficantly help the AI and make it more competative.

Anyone notice the new game audio voice quotes for many of the beginning techs (first 7-8 rows I believe)? I guess its a little strange hearing myself speak in the game so anyone wanna tell me what they think of the new audio quotes in version 28? Does it sound natural or does it sound out of place? Also does it make the mod seem the slightest bit more polished?

I cringe every time I hear the Cultural Heritage mostly because the only input the "Native Americans" appear to have had on my cultural heritage is stereotypes in "Westerns".

To me, right now your input is just about right, no need for anymore MP3's from you, now "we" need someone else to do about 10 of them, with a different voice type, more deeper.
