CCTP Rebuild

So is it possible to run Diplomatic mod with CTTP?
I think the problem is between diplo mod and whowards dll since only one can be used. I did a build of the diplo mod where I removed the dll and fixed a couple errors. I don't want to post it since it's not my mod, and haven't gotten permission.

I will send you a pm with a link so you can test it out if you like. Just make sure you have Whowards diplomatic features mod as this turns on the required portion of the dll.

I ran a quick test and got no errors/conflicts in logs, but don't have time to play long enough game for trades to run through.

I went through the my actuall dlc's and BNW is there, but it turns out i do not have Gods and Kings ... I thought once you had BNW you also automatically had G'K :confused:

is it required for the mod?

I attached the database file again; after another couple of turns; although I do not see any difference with the previous one...

Did you enable logging?


Locate the config.ini file (usually in the "C:\Users\{username}\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5" sub-directory)

Using a plain text editor (such as Notepad) open it
Search for the text "ValidateGameDatabase" (it's near the top)
Change it to
Code:
; Validates the game database whenever it is changed.
ValidateGameDatabase = 1

Search for the text "LoggingEnabled" (it's just over half way down)

Change it to
Code:
; Enable the logging system
LoggingEnabled = 1
Save the changes

Also there is no need to play a couple turns, the database log is written after the mods are loaded when the setup screen pops up.
 
You dont own G and Kings , when you only buyed BNW.
There are only a few things that are implendet into BNW from G&K.

So i think to play CCTP you need G&K or you have to remove all the related parts of CCTP.
 
this crashes for me at a mere 25 turns. i tried loading autosave and it did it exactly at the same spot again. i have bnw and gnk, dll v53

Could you also post your database log if you have logging enabled.

There are several errors that I am not sure where they come from, if Gilga has a chance to look he might know. There are also some errors related to a few of the shared files in CCTP, since I don't get these errors, I need to try to figure out what the difference is with yours.(which is why I requested the database log).

Just to check, are you using any other mods, and what map are you using?

I finally can now play civ with something comparable to ROM of civ 4, after waiting a long time for a playable version of CCTP.
So far i found 2 errors, the Stelzendorf wonder description wich promises 2 "workbout"
and some not working promotions with txt gibberish. Other than that, i´m having a blast.
(Thou you should tell people that "cruel" gamespeed really means it, lol.)

Never encountered this logs so far.

This creates a problem, and for this it falls back and crashes, but why i dont know it, for this i need more infos.
Several spots shows that ether there is a compatibility problem, you doesnt cleaned your cache/moddata or you use other mods that are creating this.

You mean you didnt get the free workboats?
And please what promotions you mean, there are so many its hard to guess.
Jip cruel is a gamesetting that should only be played if you like it hard and have enough time, and yes its a real cruel so far.

By the way i shoul also change the Name for Stelzendorf, the current placeholder is just the german name.

oh it's too late to post the database mod i started a new game with different mods already. the map i use is called tectonics. i'll see if i can duplicate it again later. i use other mods but their just stuff that wouldn't interfere like map pins and tofts flag pack.

Any lua related mod can harm CCTP.
Its a various place of things that can happen.

What i´ve guessed for a few turns has now proven to be true:
Buildings newly bought with faith such as pagoda and cathedral have stopped giving
happiness bonus, while culture and faith still works. Bug or feature?
Btw., i´m only using the cctp build with the 32 civ dll plus the ingame editor v. 39 (just for testing, i swear :cool:).
 
This both, like posted above use there own dll, so ether you need whowards merged dll, or you have to decide which dll you prefer. Only one dll mod at the same time.

For this two iam not sure, since we alter religions anyway, it could be a problem.

Since we changed all behavior for the civs, this is a little bit redundant.

I can finally stop playing CIV4 for the mods and start with some serious gaming on CIV5

You need to understand the happiness in CiV.
There is local happiness, this means you cant get more happiness then you have citizen in a city. (like Pagode)

And there is global happiness, this means it add always happiness to your empire.

Most are taged as local and global.

yeah that is the merged dll the v1 is the one howard made. the other dll is deleted like it says to do in howards thread but both have to be active. I'll try again tomorrow with them other mods disabled.
