sorry i cant make dds files what i can do is put all the icons PNG in a zip file than you'll have to hopefully add them to game is that ok? 160 x 160 is correct size they need to be?
 
Late response sorry, this no realy help for me.
its easier to do it by my own, instead of merging other stuff into a working version.

We are realy lacking someone who has ability of merging the icons we have in CCTP and also the new Icons we use for example for the wonders.
This will reduce the size of the mod and it loading times.
Also we need someone who will be glady enough to create some splash images for new wonders.
But thats not all we need help for quates and for many other things.
If you are willing to offer help, you are very welcome.
 
o well you'll have to find someone else to do it than because i can't mod. pity i had some good icons lined up too

This is no easy job, but remember by how many this mod will be played over time.

I can send you tomorrow the files as xml (rar), its late here in eu;)
You can edit them with modbuddy or any program that allowes you to save this file as a xml document (for easier readind with mb)

I'm happy to do game-testing. I don't have any other skills, I'm afraid. .lua, I've had some experience with, but a novice none-the-less. And XML... The layout of everything/the logic behind it all, it does my head in.

But yeah, happy to do beta testing.

I can help with some testing and error/missing text/wrong info fixing/feedback. But as you know Im a noob when it comes to civ 5 and modding so Im not sure how much I can do, but Im willing to try and learn.
Im still doing all my tweaking in original xml files :crazyeye:

Im doing a lot of testing with CCTP v4.03, would be boring if thats not the latest version

After using CCTP for a few weeks now Im still very unsure about all features and changes CCTP includes. I see there is some info about this here and there but not as a complete list, I cant find one atleast. So I wonder if there is a "secret" list hidden somewhere (really hope so :D) or if I just have to do some digging on the forum and continue to ask questions?
If there is no such list Im willing to help out making such a list. Its great information to have for all that like to try CCTP, and even more important for those that love mods and want to play CCTP with as many other mods as possible.....:crazyeye:......

No there is no list anywhere with all changes and additional effects.
Fires started once a thread here with CCTP details, but this ihreaf is outdated.
Since many new things where added.
When iam back from my hollydays i will look what i can do.


4.03 that was released last time, was my last saved version CCTP.
So after playtesting and seeing what the community reports i started to overwork my version.

The problem is i started a realy big overwork and due (to less sleeep) some mistakes.

I need some time to fix the database errors and handle the other stuff.
It would also take to much time here to say what all is changing.
They main factor is now to eredicate all gamerelevant errors and then finish up the current version.

When the coding is over, you can gladly help with text files, this goes out to all who offered help, but first i need to clean up my stuff, ok thats all.

Realy i reached my limit of lua coding, i can succesfully react your system but it will break the idologies, and the worst it breaks new specialist and the tech lua files as well, got so many problems with the lua compatiblity. So i was happy with leaving it for future doings. So now its cleaned up. All we need is a little kickstarter and to show me how i can succesfully dom it for my own, but for this please someone help me with the advancedpolicyscreen.mod atteched.!!!!

Its a long time since with got the permission to use this great tool, but iam honest i got othere priorities so i placed plocies on the long road.

But for "Game balancing" a overworked and more complex policies and idiology system is neeeded.

I loaded the latest alpha version a few weeks ago and noticed the request for play testing how can I help?
FIRST: I like this mod and I love CCtP and I appreciate all of the great work that has been by everyone.

I have run into some issues although I am not much of a play tester:

SETUP:
Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit, 8 g Ram good video card, so far I have seen no video or memory issues.

GAME:
Civ5, GnK/BNW merged from Steam

Problems:
1) Just a nit-pick - Civilization selection on opening screen shows only one civ rather than the whole list of available civs as the regular game shows. However if you go into setup you do have the full list available in the individual drop downs.

2) Real issue - mod appears to save the game correctly, however you cannot open the save once you exit the game completely and come back in.

3) The tech tree, not quiet sure what is being done here, not really sure I like it but I can adapt :) the real thing here and it's is probably a known issue is that most of the techs are not showing up. Just blank holes in space regardless of what era you are in.

4) Game freezes after about 10 to 20 turns. This is a new development as the game did not start freezing until recently. I have downloaded and refreshed a few other mods and in doing so have had to clear the cache directory several times. This is approximately when the problems started.

Now the last bit, I can provide artwork if you can provide a list of what is needed where and what the size of the image needs to be to be able to use it in the game.

Me and some others have also had this issue, and one guy said he bought the terrace farm and moai dlcs and then it worked, so there is probably some issue around that. Waiting for gilga to hopefully have some time to check if he can go around that or if we have to get those DLCs

Probably some of the mods you are using is not compatible with CCTP. Maybe some of them were compatible, and then after updating them they possibly changed something so they were not compatible anymore, try to disable the mods and see, then re-enable them 1 by 1.
Anyway you should post the bugs in the bug reports threads next :)

Like posted before we need help in rewriting text files, fixing spelling errors, adding pedia texts or helping by finding better names.

We also would need help from someone who can create ddsimages and splashes.

The same count for lua and for c++ coding.

Will know more when current work is done....;)

In terms of rewriting text files, spelling, pedia texts, names, etc. Just tell me where to start and give me a direction to go in.

Regarding ddsimages and splashes, I am sure I could technically figure out how to create such files but I am rather sparse on the artistic talent. So if you wanted me to track down images, get permissions for them, then turn them into dds images that is something I would be capable of doing.

Hi Gilgamesch!

I'll have some spare time this summer and thought that maybe I can be of some help. Although I've never modded Civ before, I think I can get into it fairly quickly.

I can do 3D graphics, static stuff, like improvement models. The 3D tools seem awfully buggy though. I could also do icons, splashes, etc. I have been using Lua before, but looking at the current code feels a bit overwhelming.

I looked at how that's done and it seemed easy enough. I think I could do that.
