On some maps you can play quite defensively as a pyro and just rely on killing scouts and spies that are trying to get to your base. I would have to check but I think my maximum points total was 20 so I'm not sure what my maximum number of kills is.

Damn. My most kills with heavy is like 50 and that was when me and my friends were doing achievements.

I simply must ask how on earth you get 25 kills as pyro. My best is only about 6, and I usually get at best, 1 or 2.

First point on pl_badwater, I kept jumping down from up the top, and run up behind the 3 or 4 on the cart in the tunnel, burn them, rinse and repeat. It's why I love the backburner.

I general prefer the normal one as I enjoy blowing enemies off ledges, out of the way (I've broken ubers by blasting the medic back as i chase him), and I really like that it can go crit at any time, not just the back.

pyro tip: in event of demoman press this key called "backwards" ;)

no, really, whip out shotgun start backward strafing and draw demo's to the open or just search another target. :)

The point of being a pyro is to ambush, not run headlong into masses of enemies. :shake:

While the pyro is an ambush class, she is more than capable of a head on charge. Although tihs is not the way to rack up kills, especially on payload maps and control points or choke points too it can force the enemy back, when enemies are on fire they usually tend to fall back unless they have adequate medical supplys. The best head on charge though is not from the front (where everyone is pointing their guns) but from the side (well, okay, the back is the best but not always possible), however I recommend this is used when you need to save your team a few seconds and there isn't a better option.

Flank 'em! My best moments as pyro are when I flank the front row of defenders, usually behind their back and set the whole row on fire, then sneak to a sidewall and repeat on the second row of defenders, then try to score as many kills as possible. Gets tons of assists if nothing else.

Pyros in a long, tight hallway charging is a very bad idea.

Out of interest when are people next free for a saturday session?

Oh and do people actually want to start using CFC-TF tag if someone comes up with something good?
