Well I give up on trying to get the X-Com pack, nothing seems to be working for me at all. No pay pal, no Visa, wonder if its just a canadian thing.


any suggestions on how to get this to work?

Did you ever buy anything off Steam? I bought Mount and Blade recently, I'm in Quebec, it worked.

I booted Steam and it told me about two new and free source-engine mods, Dystopia and some other Space one. They seemed interesting, however because of download sizes and monthly download limits, I'd rather try only the better one. Anyone tried any of them?

Yeah I don't keep up with mods so much, I'm rarely into "beta-testing" them. Gone are those days of my teenage years when I was playing the first versions of Counter-Strike and Action Half-Life, etc. But Steam seemed to announce these as pretty much officially released now. 50 players isn't enough.

Concerning local ISPs, you can get more than 20gigs if you're ready to pay big bucks. It's already 40$ for 20gigs...

Is it one of the major ISPs? I'm considering going maybe for a smaller "indie" ISP but these tend NOT to be well known for their reliability and consistency in speed and connectivity...

I'm trying to scrape up money get Fallout 3, Counter-Strike, Garry's Mod, and possibly the first Half-Lifes.

I might also get Red Alert 3 or C&C3. If I had to choose RA3 or C&C3, which one should I choose?

C&C3 for sure, RA3 sucks harder.
