It's not CFC, it's the fact that they're Arabic characters. First makes a "ka" sound but I don't know what the second one is unless it's a wackily stylized 'ayn.

Well it forms a pretty S in Steam and Source games.

Yes, I'm going to get it as well (I am also going to radioshack's website to see if they have any good headsets with a mic at a low price)

Yeah... Well I like good sound in games and it's sort of hard to find a relatively good quality headset that includes a microphone. Right now, I have a really cheap microphone that, I think, is made more for telephone conversation, seeing as it only has one ear on the headset. That is, you normally wear it like a headset, the right ear is covered by a speaker and from the same side there is a microphone that you can put in front of your mouth, but on the other side of the head, there's only a thingie for support that touches over year ear and holds the thing in place.

So basically, I put this around my neck (not on my head) and only use the microphone (I only plug the microphone part), and I use another set of better headphones for my ears... I never quite know if people can hear me well. They appear to be able to, most of the time, except I gotta speak rather loudly.

Well, I just bought L4D. IIRC, the last time I bought anything on steam that was worth $US24.99 was Counter Strike: Source.

I'd like to be sound good (or at least my speeches intelligible) so I don't have to keep saying "Check 1,2,3" or have other relaying to me "10-1" or complain about poor reception.

(Note: Don't be surprised if I use ten codes while playing L4D, TF2, and Fortress Forever. And starting to sound like a dispatcher in tactical situations ;).)

I was referring to the sound of the headset, the game sounds. I mean, most microphones, even very cheap ones, are going to make you quite intelligible. It's just that if you buy a cheap headset-microphone thing and you want to hear the game's sounds through the same device as you speak through (like a XBOX 360 microphone-headset system), the sound can be crap. The voice will be fine though.

Um...the only value in CS:S is the character models, weapon models, and the banter of teenage boys. 2 out of 3 ain't bad...ported to SMOD or Garry's mod. :)

Why do you think I bought it? For the maps, props, and materials for Garry's Mod :p. (Same reason why I got Day of Defeat: Source).

Yeah both CSS and DoDS are rather lame games.
I'm surprised that Valve has not released a bundle that includes both CSS and DoDS with Garry's Mod. Instead of buying one bundle that includes eather CSS or DoDS.

CnB| a Maniacal ﮱﮔpyro

For some reason CFC doesn't like the but it should form a fancy S shape (Spyro).ﮱﮔ

CnB| a Maniacal ๖ۣۜSpyro

I think I might keep the new change.

poeple who play/played CS 1.6/CSS are superior in tf2. :smug:. (actually i am serious here)
What about people who played CSS but who were mediocre in it? :(

You can still be good at TF2, seeing as how you don't need pre-instant reflexes and micro-pixel accuracy.
I've played CSS with phil, dude, and I play plenty of TF2. :p

So enough trying to trash CSS. Any plans for a group Versus in L4D?
