Yeah I have a really old one too it turns out. I have a little slimline computer so i can't put the one form my old computer in there, so i can't play most newer games. i didn't expect it with RT3.

It's not to do with age, it's because it's a nVidia card. After a patch update for Railroad Tycoon 3 they tried to add compatibility for nVidia cards in XP. The only problem is that it doesn't work for Vista, so the game doesn't work. The last patch without this update is 1.04 beta.

We're all on this page. You can see us from there. :p Shekwan just joined too - good to have you, dude. :D

I take it someone forgot to update the player of the week.

I've added some of you as friends, is it possible for you to add me to the steam group now?

I've also tried looking for "davies92" but it returns no results. Is that the username you use to log on, or your Steam screen name? Actually, I don't know if both can be used to search for people. You can try adding me ("Rubrum") I'm on right now.

When you add people to the friends list, you have to add them using their "log-on" name. That's the name they use to log on, i.e., their account name. You don't want their Friends name.

I think you can still use their Friends' name, it's just a more volatile name that can change at any time and can be shared by many users... which makes finding the person a little harder.

For those having problems with Steam on Vista starting. I have this problem. It's caused (for me at least) by a. Closing Steam using the exit option in the status bar or b. Putting your computer into standby with Steam running. The fix is to open Task Manager, go the the steam.exe process and End Process Tree. Steam should now start correctly next time you try.
