Hey everyone, I need your opinion. I have been interested in getting a new game, but I can't decide between two of my top "To Get" games. So the question is...

Fallout 3 or Left 4 Dead? Or anything else you think of?

Left 4 Dead, hands down! :D

If you love slaying zombies, you wont be disapointed :D.

It's hard to say if we don't know what you're in a mood for. If you approach Fallout 3 in a "let's kill mutants" way, I'd say go for Left 4 Dead instead, hehe.

Soon. Before christmas. It's worth $49 though, bought it so i could play the demo and don't regret it ($45 USD at the time).

Also Carmen, your AAR has nothing to do with Steam, stop plugging it.

Its doing it again. Steam is refusing to start up until I restart the process for like the 50th time.

And now that its started up, I cant decide. Do I want to buy CoH: Tales of Valor on Steam or Amazon..

I havent. I already have it ordered on Amazon, but that wont arrive until April 20-24th >.<
I have spring break next week, but I figure Ive already got plenty of stuff to do, so ill just stick with the Amazon copy.

Your local electronics store should carry it. Fry's, best Buy ( Dont get suckered into a warranty for it though :P)

We should have an event guys.

Make it a weekday/Sunday night during April and I'm free to join for any event in April :mischief:

Fallout 3 if you liked Oblivion or in the mood for a single-player FPS. Left 4 Dead if you're in the mood for multiplayer. I personally prefer Left 4 Dead, mind.

I was never taken with Fallout 3, of the two I prefer Left 4 Dead. They are two very different games however.

Where would I be able to get CoH: Opposing Fronts, the expansion pack, ONLY? I bought the original from Gamestop, and I'm wondering whether or not I should get it via Steam. I would prefer a hard copy, but I can't use any home deliveries. -.-
If you bought it retail then I don't advise buying the expansion off Steam. It might also not let you, I tried to buy BTS off of steam last december but it refused because even though it said it would work with any version (retail or steam) of Civ4 you can't register Civ4 with steam due to the complete lack of a serial key!

I have a steam version of Opposing Fronts to go with my retail CoH

I had around 3 different copies of OF at one point. I bought the game off Steam, but was having so much trouble installing it that I simply purchased the game from a shop - namely the copy that came with the original game because for some reason it was the same price as the expansion alone. Adding insult to injury about a week later I bought a new video card which came with, annoying enough, Opposing Forces.

It all worked out in the end, I sent the game+expansion that I had bought down to a friend so we could play skirmishes online :)

Okay so apparently the new expansion is STANDALONE, so it doesn't matter where you buy it.

@Kan: What card and manuafacturor? I got CoH with a disk that had all the patches with my XFX 8800GT XT, which I havn't played since shortly after I installed it :p

Nvidia GeForce 8500GT. Not the best, but the 8800's were all out and I just needed a new graphics card to help fix the problems that halted my Rome AAR. It's all fixed up now, but it's definitely time for a new card.
