Wow, so you will finally release it then. I was wondering. This mod should be interesting. I will certainly download it and attempt to play it when I get time to play again someday. I like the fact you are using more of the known world and it appears to be more canon oriented than mine. If you don't mind, there are some folks over at the Mystara board at WOTC that play Civ3. I could post a link to here from there so they could try it out too. Good luck with completion, I really love your take on the redone Spaceship victory.

I think it will. A lot of people tried to convince me to focus more on the known world, but I didn't. Yours looks more focused there so it gives more depth to the regions most Mystara fans play D&D in. It's also the areas most focused on by writers of modules and the main story. It should appeal more to the fans than mine did. I had a lot of obscure stuff in my mod, even for Mystara fanatics.

Grandraem isn't usually a heavy poster so he may just be concentrating on the mod offline. Then again, RL does have a tendancy to interrupt modding. How rude. I'm sure it's still living, he's been working on this for a very long time. Long before he ever posted this thread!

I have just been checking here and there to see if there is any new units or leaderheads. It's still being worked on. You'll notice it says 2006, not January 2006 . Actually, the biggest delay has been . . .
. . . I've got Poser! and have been looking into a few custom made leaderheads. I'm happy with the leaderheads I've got, but a couple I would like to do a little differently. I'm hoping this doesn't delay the mod too much. I've just been trying to learn the program and acquire as many props and figures as I can. The good news is I think I'm ready to start trying to design my first leaderhead. I was going to update this thread soon depending on how it goes.

I would suggest posting the LH whatever it turns out, so the experienced guys can give you advice

Definitely no units on my itinerary at the moment. I'm just gonna worry about the leaderheads first, then if it seems I need a unit here or there I might consider it. I won't be doing any units if I don't have to though.

Here's a small update. I've been working on a King Thar leaderhead. I know that there are orc leaderheads out there but I want to match Thar as close as possible to the cover of 'The Orcs of Thar' Gazetteer. I'm particularly picky about this leaderhead because Thar was always one of my favourite D&D npcs (non-player characters).

Here's his current state. I want to mess around with the face and textures a little as well as I haven't decided on the eyes yet. I also still need to put a background, clothes, hair, and a crown. Hope you like how he's turning out so far. One last thing, this isn't how he will be cropped necessarily for the final leaderhead, just a quick render.

Hey he looks great I don`t know about D&D orcs, but if they are supposed to look like WC or WH orcs, then maybe you can look at my avatar and make some changes Move his ears a bit higher, and make his neck and shoulder more buff, heck he ain`t even supposed to have a neck I would very much appreciate it if you can make another version, cos in most fantasy settings orc are too bruttish for much clothes or crowns, also he looks cute bald Eyes should be red, me thinks. Great job, Grandraem!

The necks already pretty much gone. That preview I had just mostly focused on the face sculpting. I've since shortened his neck considerably. I'll see about doing 2 versions, 1 with and without a crown and armour, but first I'm gonna worry about my version. I'm getting more into it so it shouldn't take long for another preview. Thanks for the comments.

Here's a current update as to how King Thar is doing. I decided to keep red eyes, but not totally red eyes. Beside is a comparison to how Thar is supposed to approximately look. I know the hair goes into his head a little but I'm hoping the crown will cover all that anyways.

If someone with poser knows where I can get a crown that looks kinda like the one in the picture, please let me know. I've got some that look too fancy or too plain, but nothing just right.

Thanks for the comments. I'll make another version right after I'm done this one. Eternal gratitude will do just fine. Do you want the clothes changing or are they ok? Also, there probably won't be another update on this till after the weekend. I don't think I'll get much chance to work on him this weekend.

I know, I'm late in responding. But that Thar is the best likeness I've seen yet. Nice work. So how far along is he now?
