Chaos Noir: I had told Gandhi that I was working on the case but he said that he had hoped for more progress. I had sent Mutt and Jeff out to scout the world to see if they could uncover any leads. In 1870, Mutt sent word that he had seen a ship that was bigger than Crappy City and that he had been attacked by a huge shiny bird that lived there. I told him to lay off the sauce and keep looking around.

In 1750 BC, we are the first to discover an Alphabet. People start lining up outside my office to learn more about it. I let Cyrus in first because I really want to get Tokugawa as far away as possible.

Cyrus: I must have the Alphabet.

Chaos Noir: Hold on a minute, my folks have been working overtime for years to learn this.

Cyrus: Surely, we can make a profitable arrangement. I'm willing to teach you Mysticism, Masonry, Hunting, Animal Husbandry, and Iron Working if you will share the secret.

Chaos Noir: And you'll keep Toku on your side of the street?

Cyrus: Certainly! Is it a deal.

Chaos Noir: You drive a hard bargain but I'm feeling pretty charitable today. It's a deal.

I sent word to the smart guys to start figuring out whether that was three or five technologies he had given me. Next up was Gandhi who was also anxious to learn the secret. I knew this could patch things up between Cathy and him but felt I might be able to get a little something extra.

Gandhi: You promised the Alphabet would give me the key to Cathy's heart. Hand it over.

Chaos Noir: But we didn't discuss the payment.

Gandhi: I have devoted my life to simplicity and philosophy. I have no money to give.

Chaos Noir: Perhaps there's something else you can trade.

Gandhi: I can teach you the skill of making arrows and tell you of the many Hindu gods. Lastly, I can show you how to meditate to reduce your stress.

Chaos Noir: He was right about the stress so I agreed to the trade. The next day I went to see Cathy.

Chaos Noir: Cathy, I really need to talk to you about Gandhi and this war is just getting in the way. I'll tell you the ancient secret of the Hindi Gods if you'll agree to peace.

Cathy: I accept your offer, paltry as it is.

Chaos Noir: I had hoped to be able to learn about Priests from her but she clammed up quick. Luckily Cyrus knew and was willing to trade the information for the ancient Hindi God stuff. I was now pretty close to knowing everything that everyone else knew and told the smart guys to switch to learning the Law.

Chaos Noir: Soon after, I got word that a Chaotic family had been orphaned by a bunch of thugs swinging axes. This is a mean world, don't every forget it.

Saved Game

Actually, I really need to switch to 2 or 4. It isn't really possible to be the AI pushover in Always War (unless I let them take all our cities).

Jeep, as soon as I get back in town, I'll turn off the always war option. If anyone wants to do it sooner, go into world builder and save it as a scenario. Then, open the world builder save in a text editor and delete the lines (in the beginning) that talk about always war, always peace, etc. Then, start civ, and select play scenario. Point it to your altered WB save and you're done. Feel free to alter any other settings while you're at it. :)

I assume you mean Prankster Points catalog, the distributors of which have since gone out of business due to an unforeseeable fire caused when the night watch men, a rotund gentlemen, was set ablaze by the friction of his courderoy pants :(

It was a sad day for us @ Pransters, Inc. Of course, his family was compensated with Prankster Points, as the pants are a part of the uniform.

That being the case, you should just "asK" for what you'd like to spend your points on, and us Pranksters, being as wise, just and fireproof as we are, will oblige ;)

Have you heard of that fruitcake selling horizontal courderoy pants because he believes vertical courd friction causes infertility in men?

Heard of him?!?!?! are you kidding? he's me!

i'm wearing them now, and not only is there no heat generated btwn my legs (I'll shudder for the group at that thought ;)), but my sperm are a-okay :goodjob: I'm a genius....a GENIUS, i tells ya ~

btw, it's 20 PPs for a pair of Horizontals (TM)

Main thing about this thread is you look to see what's just been posted then wish you hadn't bothered.

Fertility? You've got technology for that. I like my pants tight as a kondom!

Edit: I also like to turn the seat heater on in the car, AND I sleep with my laptop in my lap, while it's ON!
