I've made a list of the chief values of my nation, with brief explanations.
Order: Society is segmented into three classes. The Clergy, the War-Host and the Citizen. All are ruled and considered equal under the Monarch.
Purity: Their remoteness and isolation has fostered xenophobia, as well as a fear of mingling with other Elves to create bastards. Generally, all landbound races are looked down upon. (pun intended)
Religion: The Clergy maintains the Faith, officially known as Phionism. The belief centers around the worship of the All-Father and Lord of Winds, who awaits his worshippers in afterlife.
Civilization: Despite xenophobia, civilized foreigners are considered better than barbaric ones. Goblinoids are dangerous scum only fit for target practice and food.
Construction: Carving houses out of rocks, making glass and maintaining the Citadel requires a lot of manpower and engineering know-how.
Courage: None but the brave will survive among the craggy peaks and chilling winds. Courage is shown down to what they dare put in their stomachs in order to sustain themselves.
Defense: The Citadel is the Home, and must be defended at all costs.
Military: Same as above, only the War-Host also does the hunting.
Light: Being always high in the air, they feel closely connected to the sky and the sun.
Community: A tight knit community is paramount in the harsh frontier.
Medicine: Knowledge of natural medicine and sirvival tricks has allowed them to not only survive but also thrive in their habitat.
