Cities in Development (Obsolete)

I was getting said, or similar issue with the City Screen UI when using the latest (update that you linked) version of CID and the base CP - I was also noticing an issue where once I had puppeted a city, I couldn't access things in my Capital's screen and it seemed to have the same UI options as a Puppet. Other cities seemed fine though.

Would logs help, and if so which should I include?

The workaround to my issue was to not replace the CityView files, to remove issues with the Great People counters, and to then also not replace the ProductionQueue files, because otherwise the queue would stop working. Similar tactics could make the mod playable, at least, although I miss EUI's city screen.

Just to be sure, you're using the update to CID from here (there was no version number changed, but maybe this was a mistake)?

You're using EUI?

You've replaced all files as instructed?

You've cleared your cache folder?

You're using CBP?

No, you quoted this.

No, I was saying that the link on that post to download the mod is exactly the same as the download link in the post you quoted.

I checked, and they both have the same address, the same last modified time, and the same size.

Unless of course, I'm misinterpreting what dropbox links are supposed to look like... which might be true? I'll check.

Well, to see if you have the absolute latest version, navigate to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\JFD's Cities in Development (v 8) and open JFD's Cities in Development (v 8).modinfo with Notepad++ (or equivalent). If you see the entries:

Code:
    <Mod id="828b5b4b-7c62-4afb-a43f-034b596ef5e4" minversion="0" maxversion="999" title="Community Balance Patch - Compatibility Files" />
    <Mod id="24923240-e4fb-4bf6-8f0e-6e5b6cf4d3c2" minversion="0" maxversion="999" title="Community Balance Patch - Compatibility Files (EUI)" />

Then you're up to date and I'm at a loss.

The last two, the CBP compatibility, are the same as what you posted.

I'll try again with the new version and see if it turns out I screwed something up with it.

Alright, tested it and got the same bug. Note that I sped up the process by giving myself a free tech and hurrying Stonehenge production with IGE. Hopefully that doesn't make too much difference. If it does, I'll redo it.

You should update both Exploration Continued Expanded and Cultural Diversity to the latest versions, as you appear to have older ones.

What version of EUI are you running? An older version might explain the issue.

Also, could you please post your Database log too.

I've installed this mod a bunch of times, but I just can't seem to get HEALTH_CORE enabled without seeing spurious food yields on coastal tiles (and no health yields -- not sure if I'm supposed to see them or not). Game CTDs as soon as I try and settle the first city. The Mod works fine in its default state, HEALTH disabled.

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but I just don't see it.

Here's the Database file.

Cultural Diversity should be the latest one; it's the one you linked for fixing the incorrect Japanese unit sounds.

As for ExCE, it's also the latest version, aka the one where you increased the bonuses for the ExCE resources for CBP.

For EUI, it's the one with the latest CBP installer. I disabled the top panel though, for use with Piety & Sovereignty (Piety & Prestige? Seems to have different names depending on where I'm looking).

Actually, am I supposed to clear the entire cache folder, or just the Civ5ModsDatabase file? Cause I've been doing the latter.

Are we meant to be using EUI 'g'? Someone mentioned it a while back, and you seemed as surprised as anyone about it's existence. If I am meant to be using it, mind pointing to a download link?

Turns out I lost more than I thought when I reset my PC! Please update CulDiv again to fix an issue with that.

Ah, ok, so CBP installs its own version of EUI into the DLC folder - so there's more to it than the Compatibility Files. I guess I must figure out why this is. Using EUI as bc1 provides it + CBP's compatibility files causes no issue, but otherwise I have some. Will get back to you.

It's Piety & Sovereignty. P&P was the old title than some still recognize it by.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to try. Here you go.

I have the same problem without CulDiv, everything else being up-to-date, CBP with EUI from the installer and the EUI top panel removed. It sounds like you've narrowed it down to a difference between installer EUI and "normal" EUI, is that correct?

IIRC, the version of EUI in the CP installer isn't up to date.

Yes, this definitely seems to be the case.

Ok, please try this update *and cross your fingers*. This only matters for EUI + CBP users.

I've removed the EUI 'feature' where the Great Person's specific icon is shown next to its name when one is being generated, which was the source of the issue (probably no real loss anyway, given I add three new Great People which don't have a unique icon). Sorry for the trouble!

Thanks for the hard work JFD. Going to try it out.
