Awesome icon, looks close to a proper thing.

While I'm at it, if you're in the mood for an Information Atomic* Age anti-Crime building:

I know it's a bit of a cheat to have the cameras protruding out of the icon for a regular building, but I think it helps convey the intrusive All Seeing Eye of Big Brother that comes along with installing a surveillance network in your city (plus I did one with the cameras contained within the icon, but had to extend the pole and it didn't look as good).

* It'd probably better coming with Computers rather than an later Tech.

That's some really impressive art! One thing I was thinking about the other day was how Crime-related notifications show up on the right hand side of the screen with the generic "!" icon. Would you be able to create a notification icon with the "Crime" symbol on it? I'd do it myself, but I haven't progressed above stick-figure level artwork yet.

Just something I have thought; creating a new gold building to replace the stock exchange and reserve the exchange to only civs generating above a certain amount of gold (75? 100?). I find it very weird any city can have one even if it's just been founded.

Btw, it seems that Crime is more rampant in this version of the mod. Or perhaps I just didn't get far enough into the game :P. I'm glad to see that it has a significant imact on developing cities, as it should have.

@Reedstilt They're great icons. I may use your Grain Mill to replace the Hospital, but I'll await until such a time when I have balance reports to go off of, as Health may compensate sufficiently. However, the Windmill is not a dedicated Food building, and so I am hesistant to artificialize a Food Building line.

@Shaglio I don't know how to make those icons.

Doesn't the Windmill become a +10% Food building with CiD (since the Courts take over the +10% Building Production bonus - though I guess that's RtP and not CiD - they all sort of blend together after a while)? I suppose it also kept its two hammers, though replacing those with +2 food wouldn't be out of line (unless CBP requires it to have hammers for some reason).

Regardless, I'm happy that at least one of those icons will likely find a home.

Since RtP makes the Courts yield Sovereignty instead of Building Production, that BP bonus goes to the Chancery, and so the Forge and the Windmill revert to their vanilla forms. At least, that's the future of the Windmill.

Hm, anyone got any simple ideas on what to rename the Herbalist in the event that CBP is active. The CBP has their own Herbalist, which increases Food on Forests or something, and it would be simplest to change the name of my Herbalist. So any thoughts?

Perhaps Physician?

Medicus maybe?

Perhaps Florist? Or is that too reminiscent of a garden? Although there are plenty of flowers in the forest :P.

Shaman? Nope, wait, I've been playing too many MMOPRGs lately. My initial thought was Apothecary, as Wolfdog already mentioned, but I remember that being used somewhere in somebody's mod. As Reedstilt said, they're all starting to blend together. :crazyeye: Pharmacy is probably too modern a term to use.

From what I remember, CiD's Health building chain goes from (Herbalist) -> Apothecary -> Hospital.

I think pharmacy would work, especially considering the icon. Pharmacies go back quite a ways, so could easily be a Ancient building. Alternatively, the Herbalist could be renamed the Apothecary, and the Apothecary could become the Pharmacy (so the order is Apothecary -> Pharmacy -> Hospital).

Another alternative, given what the CBP's Herbalist does, maybe its name could be changed to something like a Forester or Arborist.

Is this mod compatible with your other mod Cultural Diversity? I'm asking because I've been using both this mod, Cultural Diversity along with CPP (latest beta), R.E.D., Wonder race, Info addict and EUI and I'm getting some text errors in the city and when there's a ranking notification (who has the largest army ect.) I have some screenshots, let me know if you want to see them. Love this mod btw, adds so much depth to the game.

All of JFD's mods are perfectly compatible with each other, and the other three mods you mentioned should be fine as well; my suspicion would be that your issue is related to EUI, check again if you installed it absolutely correctly (CPP 'How To Install' page).

Drug Abuse seems a bit odd as the crime for health. I mean, yeah drug abuse would certainly do that, but I'm not sure if Drug Abuse has even been an epidemic on the same scale that the other crimes are. And it's more of a recent crime, isn't it? Like in the last 300 years or so. Before that, I'm not even sure if drugs were criminalized.

Perhaps something else could affect health, like pollution. Indiscriminate dumping of toxic waste or sewage in waterways or other public spaces would certainly affect health. Sort of ties in with a sanitation, although neither were likely strongly enforced for the majority of history.

Perhaps there shouldn't be a crime for Health, and instead it should be moved to an altogether different feature called disease. Disease has played a huge role in history, and I think you could make a strong argument for it having its own feature.
