Whoward's banner is great, but I found EUI straight after finding it :/

If you could merge them, it would be good to have Whoward's bars for Growth and Border Growth, as well as his City Focus Icon position (because it's clearer); merged with the tooltip info from EUI, like the beliefs, the policies, and the tiles being worked.

I also want a pony for Christmas. And a puppy.

Do you think uncapping the unbroken rule modifier would do the trick? This would be easier than decreasing the occupation disloyalty, but would achieve the same thing (although I suppose there's a conceptual benefit to decreasing occupation - so I'll look into that first.) I did also wonder if I should make Happiness contribute to Loyalty, but worry that it would then become too easy to maintain Loyalty. What do you think?

I think decresing occupation is the best way but uncapping the unbroken rule modifier also will be enough. Happiness contribute to Loyalty may be risky but if Happiness will be minor factor I think this is a good idea and really logic :)

For example Happiness parametr with scale:
-30 Happiness = -30 % loyalty (max)
-29 ... -29
0 = 0
1 = 0,5 % loyalty
20 Happiness = 10 % loyalty (max)

This should make capturing cities harder when you have trouble with Happiness but not too easy to maintain loyalty when Happiness has high level.

Sounds good - although if it's based of local city happiness, it would be a miracle o reach any of those extremities. It could also prove a pain as local, because your empire might be happy because of luxuries, but it would be losing loyalty from local unhappiness.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have a think about this. I was thinking of local happiness on Loyalty, though. Not sure if that'd be prefered.

Quick question: in the latest version of EUI, the turn counter has a different number next to it in brackets. What does this correspond to?

Well, maybe it is time for me to give up EUI. Yeah, the enhanced UI is very convenient, but not necessay, and not worth it if it cause bugs.

Maybe if someone made a version of EUI that only consisted of stuff that would be unlikely to conflict, like the icons on the sides of the screen. That would be handy.

[Edit] Does bc1 announce EUI updates? Lynnes' just mentioned an issue with 1.27k, but I swear that 1.27i only came out this morning!

Well, I don't know when is your morning, but it is 10am here(Guangzhou) now. but IIRC I download the 1.27j one day or two ago.
P.S. Bc1 never announce updates.

Edit: @JFD now I confirm that my loyalty TT issue last night is relate to EUI, which I have already deleted now.

Sacrilege! Burn the Heretic!

Non EUI is far more simplistic, but I love having those extra buttons at the top instead of having to go into a scroll down menu and many other things. It would take time to weed me off EUI :3

JFD should make his own UI...

So, my errors when running the game where:

1. Can't build any trading posts (like everyone else)

2. I could hover over the Loyalty before with it correctly displaying the extra information. However, at least 100 turns later, I checked again and it no longer displays. I am, of course, using EUI.

3. This has actually existed as an error for a while, I just was reminded when I ran into it again today
Spoiler :
C:\Users\"My Name"\Documents\My Games\Sid Civ 5\MODS\JFD's CID (v. 15)\Shared\Lua\UI\Overrides\EUI_tooltipes.lua:2559:attempt to index global 'pCity'(a nil value, hello darkness my old friend)

Need anything else to debug this?

If I may request an indulgence, could you also release the updated V16 disguised as V15 so that I may keep playing my game? It's going really well (with the exception of Sicily and Babylon wonder stealing), and I hope to make it to the end of the game (Has anyone else accomplish this feat?!). I'd restart if need be, but I'm set up for some lovely colonialism as Victoria.

Influence, both tourism/culture and Ideology Pressure, should play into city capture. Cities that favor you should be far easier to win over loyalty wise. On the opposite end, I think over time captured cities should become more loyal as one's empire, ahem, convinces them of their superior enlightened ways.

lol, the Loyalty TT issue is because the production panel is too big in EUI. So the TT is there, it's such hidden under an invisible grid. Looking to fix now.

Yeah, for the Top Panel at least. For the most part, though, I honestly prefer vanilla. Except, as you say, I like to extra buttons.

Link to video.

I think database changes are what will cause saves to become incompatible. Just stick with your current version, I'd say, but I'll provide a v15 with v16 changes for you to try (just make sure to keep the old v15 for if it doesn't work).

I would, but I'm not familiar enough with how positive Ideology Pressure works - if at all. Basically, I don't know how to deal with Ideologies :p

Where's the Firaxis Programming Q&A when you need one.

Edit: Also, I realized that I left you no info in regards to my error. It appears whenever I hover over Tourism.

Mod list: CP, CID, IGE, E&D, Piety, CulDiv, RER, HRC, Prussia, Archduchy of Austria

Problem:
When I(prussia) declare war to Poland, both me and poland got levies.

Attachments

v16:
  • Fixed an issue wherein the Trading Post could not be constructed.
  • Fixed an issue with EUI's PlotHelpManager file.
  • Fixed (well, worked around - so let me know if you notice any irregularities) an issue between CP's EUI and CID. I'd still like to know why this is even an issue.
  • Various bug fixes as reported.
  • Loyalty is now located below Happiness with EUI, which fixes the missing TT issue (occuring when the production panel became too large). I dunno if I'll keep it like this, as it looks rather Mole-like, but it's good enough for now.
  • Merged Whoward's City Banner changes (dismissable City Focus and Culture Growth meter) with EUI's City Banner. (will work on cosmetics later)

And here is your fake v15, Kesler. I'll keep the actual v15 as v15a for a while, in case you need it.

So I guess the last thing is this mysterious Civilopedia issue.

I'm just going to have to say too bad :p

There's a patriotic surge of volunteers in both countries :3

Thanks for making the second copy! :goodjob:

Edit 1.5: It appears that several other EUI features may be disabled too, namely it not longer shows what territory settlers can work. City States no longer display their provided quests without going into the City State screen. The side screen that provided extra info on other civs is lacking said info. Hopefully someone else can test and see if they get this too.

The fake V15 works well. Certain EUI element are bugged (such as queuing) but this is unrelated to the problems listed above (tested a new game and continued the old one). These bugged elements are a result of changing the database. At least that's my guess :P

Hello, JFD, please help!
I'm using Your Pitey and Prestige, Cities in Develpment and Exploration Continued Expanded, zwei833's Renaissance Era Revised, Tpangolin's Mexico, Danmacsch's Denmark and LastSword's Poland is love and life. After I captured Mexico's capital, a few turns later a two-handed swordsman suddenly appeared next to my city and captured my worker (I swear there no Mexico unit around!), and even I eliminated him, the two-handed swordsman appeared again few turns later, just repeated and repeated again! Everytime in the same tile! Even though I put a unit on that tile he would still kick my unit and appear in the tile! The bug is VERY annoying!:mad:

Sorry I started a new game and forgot to keep the log.:(

Sounds like a problem with RER more than CID. By starting a new game, did you delete your old save files? If not, then you can always reload your old save files.

But…but… RER doesn't include anything relate to LUA.
He said a two-hander "appear next to my city", if "my city" means the former capital of Mexico, I think it is just some kind of rebelion? even not a bug?

It is not a bug. It is the effect of a city in Revolt - a city with Separatist Loyalty. @von_Wurttemburg What is your Loyalty in Mexico City like?

EDIT: Ugh. Quick update to fix Trading Posts upgrading into... Trading Posts... and an issue whereby the rankings would only ever display the Score.
