Name: Samuel Calhoun
Money: 40K
Bio: Sam Calhoun is an interesting fellow. He was an orphan, who lived on the streets, and got by without joining a gang until he was 9. He then joined up with a gang in the neighborhood he had lurked in his whole life. What the Gang didn't count on was how ruthless he would become, and how cunning as well, taking over the gang by 18, and quickly using extortion and robbery profits to fund a new newspaper in the city to put a nice face on his gang, which was more like a unit of professional crime soon after that. He rose through the ranks and publicly disassociated himself from the gang, although there are rumors he still controls it. But it shouldn't matter. He's rich, and he controls a media empire that has its tentacles in every city of this geographical region, although he only controls the segment of it here in Metro City directly, and he's looking to expand into more than simply media.
Organization: Calhoun Enterprises
Calhoun Enterprises is primarily a media empire, the only real competition to the NNN in Metro. Its roots are in the Newspaper Industry, which boasts the largest circulation in Metro thanks to its mass of printers and delivery trucks. But its true wealth is in TV where it owns a Network as big, if not bigger, than the MEM. It does indeed lack a Radio Station at the moment however, and that is a glaring hole in its media coverage.
