To be fair, most of the city can qualify as a rather sketchy area, as it stands now.
Anyways, all posters, please have information clarified as soon as possible - I would like to start soon, but I can't do that until all sign ups are completed.

Stewart is a Mathematics professor with a history of top of the range maths research as well as development. He has worked and published on ideas such as Non-periodicity, PN completeness and complex topography.
He is around 32 years old and is the youngest person to ever hold position as Master for a Royal County University College.

Claire College: Claire College is one of the most prestigious colleges of Royal County University. Royal County is a highly elite university, it has extremely high entry grades and maintain's its reputation as the best University in the nation and possibly in the world. The college system divides the University up both in administrative responsibility and in students. Many colleges specialise in a specific subject, though the university tries to get away from this mindset - you can study any subject at any college - and Claire is famous for its Mathematics, partially due to its close proximity to the Mathematics department of the university.
Claire was one of the first established Colleges dating back to 1542 and the main building dates back from that era while the Chapel dates from 1788 and the Canteen from 2012.
The University sees itself as a giant compared to the much less prestigious Metro Metropolitan University (Or whatever CivO calls his Uni), it offers a better academic experience compared to MetroU's mostly vocational courses.
Green area indicates Grass, trees and the like.
The Large yellow building is the college itself containing lecturing spaces, dormitories and learning areas. This building also contains the large great hall which is often rented out for social events. The Square building to the north is the canteen area which was recently developed with state of the arts facilities. The Yellow rectangle to the south is the chapel where religious as well as academic events are held. The Building across the road is the Mathematics department, it is also very old and contains a few lecturing spaces but is mostly office spaces and areas for the students doing projects for their more advanced qualifications.

Ideas for everyone
Vigilante Inc - Vigilante Incorporated, a group that promotes home justice and tries to train the common people for their own protection as well as training the more gifted to act as the shadowy guardians of the city
The Family - A religious cult, focusing on blood play and BDSM, they run strip clubs and/or prostitution rings above ground while arranging play dates for the darker citizens.
Hackerz (Anonymous) - A anarchistic group of young people who's skills revolve around computers and cyber warfare. The have arcades and clubs and even a pirate tv show, however unless stirred they mostly stick to the shadows. It is rumoured that they keep track of the more violent denizens of the City.
Suppliers - The underground providers of all that is illegal. They stay out of the crime wars by selling to each group equally. Products consist of drugs, slaves and information.
The Forgotten - A group that organises the homeless and those that suffered from the crime wave the city is suffering. Hiding in sewer systems and underground railways. These people are a force that could be focused in any manner.
Mayor Family - A family that has a long history of politics and the new head of the family is determined to rise once more to the height of mayor of the city. Holdings include lots of things to improve public opinion, like homeless shelters, orphanages, golf clubs etc.
Mastermind Inc - A business organization that focuses on advanced science and robotics, it then uses these powerful objects to try to rule the streets via proxy. It can also unleash items for specific purposes, to create chaos that it can show itself a "hero". It also has a army of lawyers and hackers to take out the competition.
Single Female Lawyer (if you get the joke, good for you
) - A lawyer group profiting from all the violence and crime in the city, it would be up to the owner whether they would be mob lawyers, helping the crime continue, or valiant protectors of the peace trying to put away the bad guys. Asylum & Prison - With so much crime one could make a business out of running the local prison and mental portion of it. You could also arrange a revolving door service to get people back out, or arrange accidents in prison. The political position as protector of the captured evil could help one run for a political position.

Yourself - Neil Chrisp, A 21 year old male currently attending Metro Metropolitan University (CivO's University) His hobbies mostly involve gaming and hanging around on the internet. He is technically unemployed but he recently came into some money allowing him to buy both the old arcade from his childhood and a run down empty building near it, he turned it into a "PC Bar" like the ones in Korea, where anyone can come and rent a PC for an hourly rate to play games. He is very intelligent and good with computers having hacked many devices before, however he is at heart a good guy that wants good to happen, he does not use his intelligence for evil. He has however seen the problems that a hacker can cause and as such has created "The Hidden"
