Civ 7 Crashes after around 2 minutes

Hi,

the game Crashes every start after around 2 minutes. But ONLY if Steam is online.
If I Start the game in Offline mode no Crash and i can play just fine.
I have no explanation for that. Every other game just runs fine.

Its an Ryzen 5800x on a Gigabyte Aorus B450 Board
an Amd 5700XT Graphics Card and 32 GB of DDR4 RAM

Someone an idea what i can do?

I am just guessing wildly here:

Have you linked to 2k account ingame?

When steam is offline mode does it also make you 2k account link go offline? That could be one difference.

P.S. AMD users need latest drivers in general https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-25-2-1.html
However it of course should not make difference in your case.

Drivers are all Up to date, checked that first, and every other Performance Related option i tried, All Overlays turned off FSR turned off etc. But it runs fine in offline mode.
And yes the differen is that the 2k Account is also in Offline mode. But i have no idea to fix that? If i Start a game in Offline mode and than tab out and Reconnect steam i can play a minute or so, and the game crashes.

If we would make an assumption that it somehow is related to the 2k account and settings then all I can suggest is this:

Note first: Saves need backuping!
Delete folder: %localappdata%\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII and you are starting effectively from scratch. I think you loose all settings and logins etc to 2K.

Then do new login and hope that maybe it now works.

Just to confirm. I was not suggesting just to unlink, but to delete all your old settings and kind of start from scratch.

So did you delete folder %localappdata%\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII? Or what did you exactly do?

I am having the same issue. Drivers are fine, I deleted that folder a couple times, it only works in Offline Mode. Did you fix it? How so?

This is infuriating. I've tried to fix it across a couple days and I'm afraid I'm going to have to refund
