I personally think Medieval-style High Fantasy as broad and narrow enough. The first prompt is wide because I want as many people as it can to be interested and participate. And IMO conditions aren't just specific verse or genre. It can be 'anything with dragon', '****s emerging from ice', 'internet', etc. People in CDC I'm sure have a lot of idea

    Okay, I'll use your definition
    Based on Mount and Blade

It actually is Science Fiction, as the story attempts to use science to explain it all, and doesn't say it's magic. Really, it's future fantasy, and could be stretched to be low fantasy, but it's less low fantasy than Walking Dead, so maybe tyr something else.

    I'm literally clueless.

Edit: nothing like 6 hours of television to help your creativity. Based on the "Teen wolf" TV series, which I guess is low
Fantasy... Takes place on earth, and most of the population isn't aware of magic and magical creatures.

    Beacon Hills (Scott McCall)
    UA: MvP
May not build settlers nor occupy cities. Killing enemy :c5greatperson: great people grants you a :greatwork: great work of art, and killing enemy military units grants you a small sum of :tourism: influence with all other civilizations, increasing with each :c5culture: social policy you adopt. Gain a free :c5culture: social policy once you become influential with a civ for the first time.

    UU: Werewolf
Replaces knight. If stations in friendly territory during peace, grants the nearest city :c5science: science and the yields of the tile its stationed on as if its a regular citizen. It may not be upgraded and does not obsolete, however, it kills a citizen when its produced, and you may only have one per each era you passed. Has the March promotion.

    UNW: Pack Safehouse
Replacing the castle. Instaed of granting :c5gold: gold from city connections, the Pack safehouse grants any units trained in the city the Scouting and Survivalism I promotions, as well as +1 XP for every citizen in the city. It also gets an additional :greatwork: great work of art slot for every enemy GP you kill.

Infamous can be taken as low fantasy if you want to do a game

I've never played Infamous, though here's a design from a game that I was DETERMINED to make once at the very least:

    The Underground (Asgore)
    Spoiler Royal Guarding Promotions :

    • MOVEMENT (Doggo): Units that move within a five tile radius are revealed for one turn.
    • Petting (Lesser Dog): When ending its turn on the same tile as a Civilian- or Trade Unit, the Royal Guard gets pet, increasing its vision range by 1 for every turn being pet (max +5 vision).
    • Full-Body Armour (Greater Dog): Gain 8% :c5strength: Combat Strength for every adjacent tile where no enemy unit is located.
    • RG (Royal Gaurd 01 and Royal Guard 02): Gain 25% :c5strength: Combat Strenght when below 50% HP.
    • Dogi (Dogamy and Dogaressa): Adjacent allied Units are identified as 'Weird Puppies' and double this unit's flanking bonus. When below 50% HP, either gain or lose 10% :c5strength: combat strength randomly.
    • Spear of Justice (Undyne): Units ending their turn next to this unit are pierced by spears and receive some damage, just like the citadel.
    • Annoying Dog: No bonus

A design based around Undertale. This design is based around Asgore's thoughts after his son (Asriel) was killed by the humans but before the protagonist (Frisk) enters the Underground (thus before the game takes place, meaning that Asgore was still FURIOUS)

(I hope at least someone gets some of the references)

NOTE: Please don't judge my balance-skills *cries in a corner

EDIT: I just noticed there already is an Undertale-mod on the Steam Workshop, and some elements seem to overlap (E.g. the random promotions for the Royal Guard UU)

    Hm, if UT counts:

The Underground, led by THE GREAT PAPYRUS
Unique Ability: You're Blue Now - Enemy units in your territory automatically move one tile south per turn if possible. If the way south is blocked by an allied unit or city, they take damage as though they had attacked it in melee (but the unit/city blocking the way does not take damage from this).
Unique Unit: Cool Dude - Replaces Longswordsman. Is stronger than the normal unit, but has a higher combat penalty than usual against fortified units.
Unique Improvement: Colored Puzzle Tile - Unlocked at Machinery. Upon being built, becomes one of several random colors, each of which has a different effect when enemy units step on it:
    Spoiler :
    Yellow: Deals damage
    Green: Spawns a barbarian unit
    Orange: Removes the embarkation promotion
Purple: Adds the embarkation promotion, and moves the unit one tile further in the direction it moved to reach the purple tile
    Blue: Acts as a lake

(I'm excluding pink tiles due to being boring, and red tiles because you could repeatedly build, destroy, and rebuild until you get your capital surrounded by red to make it uncapturable.)

@Klisz, I assumed it does, since it mentions magic several times in the game (E.g. the magic barrier) and since it takes place in 'our world'/a human world (the protagonist fell down a hole from our world/the human world to the Underground and the humans presumably don't know about the underground/the hole leading to the Underground).
    Spoiler :

NYEH HEH HEH (though I'm disappointed there's no spaghetti in your design)

I kind of like SoGK's design. It has a few debuffs, but I feel like it has some sort of hidden super-synergy. My vote goes to SoGK's Sarranid.

I was trying to be impartial as the prompt-maker, but Arison kept bugging me to vote :p

Putting my vote in for Klisz's Underground

I'm gonna pass on voting this time. I'm not really familiar with... Anything here, so I don't really feel that I can vote here...

(@inthesomeday: your UA is kinda OP... Instead of giving gold to city states to gain influence, you can gain influence by taking gold from them, and that also means they won't resist further tributes)

I think I'll go for another fairly broad challenge, since this is still only the third one and we're still testing the waters here... Hm, let's go with time travel fiction, since that spans both sci-fi and fantasy (albeit a bit weighted toward the former) and will allow for uniques from a wide variety of eras.
