Civ IV BTS Preview at Gamespot with Videos! (June 22)

Anyone else notice that espionage missions are cheaper the longer your spy is stationary? I wonder if it'll be worthwhile to "station" spies in your rival's cities as soon as you can build them, for some cheaper espionage action later on.

I think I also saw an infantry unit get promoted with drill 1 and drill 2, so I suppose gunpowder units can get the drill line now.

SWEET i know aye? Gunpowder going down the drill line and Castles having a bonus worth building, looks like Protective may end up being a very good trait especially in thew late game wars. I Wonder if Walls got a boost or new bonus.

I added a big list of things here. :D

Sad, the player never selected the Curassier, so that one could see its looks. Also I'm curios about Justinian's looks.

Or it was just a unit that was upgraded from a drill II archer or an Ethiopian infantry upgraded from the Oromo warrior.

I've seen the video clip, the Paratrooper unit was being promoted with Drill 1.

I'm already glad the Dutch voices don't suck. ;)

I don't know if this is mentioned but in the "Paratrooper" movie, I think it is movie 2, it seems destroyers have a few new buttons. Not sure what they do though.
Also after the Dutch raise one of the Russian cities (around 2:29 in the movie) a screen pops up that tells "Russian citizens from the city we just raised are taking to the surrounding countryside to form Partisan resistance units!" and three or four new units pop up! :(

I don't understand why somebody with Marines is fighting Axemen. I guess that Gamespot player is just darned good!

I'll be using that gantry view to locate Gary Seven, then beam him and his cat up to the Enterprise.

This random event seems to be a balance to make you think twice before razing a city.
