I would love to see a Civ Revolution 2, but I think it'll be a while before we see it. It'll probably be when they're on Xbox 720/PS4. I think the game is fun, especially in multiplayer, but there were a lot of issues with the game.
Anyway, if/when they do release it, I hope they:
1. Provide more gameplay options. Map size, game speed, etc.
2. Improve AI. I can't stand playing against the computer because it's too easy, but not even fun. The AI constantly attacks the human unless you're attacking them first.
3. Get rid of the obligatory AI player in human games.
4. Make the civs more balanced. Some are way more powerful than others.
5. More government options.
6. Improve diplomacy. Let people be able to have relations with other players.
I'm sure there's more of them, but basically what I want is them to just make the game more in depth. I realize the game needs to be simplified for the console, and I don't mind that, unlike most computer Civ players. If I want a long, marathon game, I'll play Civ IV (or soon to be Civ V!), but if I want a fast paced game, I'll play Civ Revolution. Right now, since the AI is so boring, I only play against human players though, and even that has gotten boring because 90% of the time it's the Zulu or Aztec rush, and if those fail, the players quit. If you go back on this forum like a year and a half, I was a big proponent of the Zulu rush in Civ Rev, but I expected them to tone it down or do something to make it more fair in a patch, but they never did. So yeah, keep the game somewhat simplified for the consoles, but put a little more depth in it, and just make it more fair and balanced.
Anyway, I'd be surprised if we see a Civ Revolution before 2015, and everyone knows the world is going to end in 2012 anyway.
