Downloaded off of steam today, running on kubuntu 10.04, wine 1.2
I can't post exact settings but exact same setup I used for Civ IV worked for Civ V. No need to winetricks anything else.
Now...I've only tried with DX9, and that...doesn't look all that great. Different terrain features just blend in together into a giant mosaic so its hard to tell right away whats on what tile.
