Civ V stock image Scavenger hunt

the cannon is a union napoleon, this one is pretty close but the perspective isn't a perfect match:

the superstructure is definitely a match to that uss princeton photo, but the hull doesn't really match either photo. it was possibly improvised.

For sure. That's surprising. Given that they're so similar in composition, I figured most of the water unit images were original. By the way, I've had no luck finding 3D models/miniatures that exactly match units.

barringer crater - first gis result. it's a 1:1 match

grand mesa (not the grand mesa at all, but some mesa in utah - about.com's mesa article)
i like this one a lot, it was flipped and warped, but they left all the trees and things in same spots, including the shadow of a house? under the tree

They turned into a hole instead.

My guess is they used the right side and copied/flipped it to make the left side.

nice catch. it looks like it was done as four parts, the central area and right side, the left tower is a copy of the right tower not flipped, darkened and rotated slightly, and the left area is a copy of the right area but flipped. the angle of the shadows/windows all match except in that left area. finally they added grass and the path, which go about 1/3rd way up the first floor.

old faithful - or castle geyser in yellowstone:
i wouldn't be surprised if there's another source for the trees and or steam
