Civ VI TSL

You could add the city states we have seen so far, I think they are important for TSL. They are listed in the features thread.

So I know in an interview with Ed Beach, it was discussed that Civs were picked with True Start Locations in mind. That being said, I decided to plot the announced Civs on the a world map to provide a visual of what to expect. Maybe the empty space on the map will help somebody predict an unannounced Civ.

Note: Scythian Capital was placed using a site found by Gambito. http://www.silkroadfoundation.org/newsletter/vol2num2/greek.html

City States are marked with smaller black dots. I was going to include the names but some of them close to city states/capitals. Please notice that Nan Madol is north-east of Papua New Guinea.

United States: Washington D.C.
Aztec: Tenochtitlan (Mexico City)
Brazil: Rio de Janeiro
United Kingdom: London
France: Paris
Egypt: Thebes
China: Xi'an
Japan: Kyoto
Scythia: Pokrovka

I sincerely hope there is a Game Set Up alternative to this TSL. And that there are Non "Earth type" maps as well. Alternate Terran type worlds, cause I don't want an Earth simulator game all the time for playing Civ.

I am sure that you can play on any map without TSL. TSL might be one of those things that are only possible with a mod. Not sure though.

You seem to have misunderstood. And if you actually watched any vidoes you'd know that map scripts are still in (Pangea, Continents, Fractal etc).

TSL is has never been done by Firaxis, it's beend one primarily by modders, I just think recently it gained a bigger following.

All they have done is try to use under-represented areas of the map in the game so as to fill up those empty areas. But you can still play Civ the way it's always been played.

If you have been following this thread http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=570683

Then you know that many other civs are all but confirmed. Here is my modified map with the almost confirmed Civs.

Didn't 4 have TSL? I know it had it in the pretty cool 1000 AD Map at the least.

I did see this roster and I was planning on making a TSL version of this as well. Part of me was hoping that this would be proven fake. As you can see that there is a lot of crowding in Europe which may not make for a very fun TSL game. Since Germany was confirmed, this very well might be roster.

Now that the whole leaders are leaked (ergo confirmed), I think you can add that to the map too. Especially the Greece

Also, when I mentioned about the wonders (natural / man made) previously, I was thinking of small dot / star in the map, no text. I should've been more clearer when suggesting, sorry.

For thousandth time, Ed specifically said that TSL WAS NOT IN MIND WHEN DESIGNING BASE GAME. It was something they know about, something they plan to address (IN THE FUTURE!), but warning us to not expect it in the base game. Sometimes i think people hear just what they wanted to hear and then blame the devs.

Please calm, down its really no big deal. I was just going off what he said at here https://youtu.be/YBdl8YVFK4o?t=267.

This post's ONLY purpose is to provide the TSL of the confirmed Civs, City-states, and Wonders.

Minor detail, but Egypt's capital is Alexandria (Egyptian name: Rhakotis or Ra-Kedet), not Thebes. :)

When it comes to Norway, I believe adding their capital to the map should be held off until we know whether or not if the capital ends up being Nidaros (Trondheim) or Oslo.
