Civ VII Weekly Reveal Guessing Thread

Well with the reveal of Jose Rizal do you think we'll see his first look today, because of Siam yesterday, or alongside Japan and Himiko in the same week?

From the last week info, we would only get one first look this week. But then, with all the videos coming out, now they could just release all the rest at once as we already know a lot.

Probably next week then
Jose+Buganda/Mughal
Fred +Prussia
Himiko+Japan

The civ bonuses aren’t visible yet…so that’s still something to reveal

Well, I'll rather choose Yamatai Himiko and Tenno Himiko for her personas. Not because of mass media like anime, just for her historical part and symbolic part.

As a historical queen of Yamatai, she was not an actual ancestor of Japanese Emperors. She was just a leader of the strongest faction within the ancient Japan. Under her reign, Yamatai ruled the small states and became the first Japanese faction which introduced itself to the regional diplomacy of East Asia. But it slowly replaced with the successors, so Himiko's legacy was transferred to the another families: finally the Emperors of Japan.

On the other hand, after the concept of "eternal blood line of Emperors" established, the historians need to prove that the every rulers of ancient Japan had blood ties with nowadays Emperor. Himiko didn't, so they decided to remove her story. Her reign and legacy partially handed over to fictional Emperors - especially Empress Jingu, who become a symbolic icon of the Japanese expansion. But ironically, this decision unintentionally caused the result that Himiko become very famous in modern Japan. She never was an Empress(Tenno) nor a family of the Emperors, but later people made her the Empress and the ancestor of them. Tenno Himiko may be a good expression of Japanese Emperors, dodging the controversial modern Emperors.
Oh wow. Himiko Persona confirmed!

Now I wonder how much of my idea will be fit in the upcoming Himiko reveal...

OMG Jose Rizal confirmed.

Maybe Firaxis won't reveal anything next week as a "revenge" towards the leak. :p

Just one guide and First Look next week. They're gonna have a big blowout at the end, I guess.

Seems like Prussia/Frederick or Meiji/Himiko. Personas as a consolation for only one civ reveal?
Or it could be Buganda (or Mughals) on Tuesday and Rizal on Thursday.

We've gotten a huge wave of Independent Power reveals, many of them Civilizations that were up for the first few DLCs. Having an equivalent launch City State could be considered evidence that a Civilization isn't planning/coming soon (it's been argued as such on these forums, at least,) but now I'm curious if there's much of a reasonable DLC one and two that could be constructed without all these.

The problem with the theory is that although this was the case with 5 and 6, there's actually nothing to suggest that they could/should/would continue the tradition, they might actually break the tradition for all we know.

There's a running list on the beginning of the thread. https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...ntent-spreadsheet-thread-civ-overview.692664/
I don't think it's completely updated because Stockholm has also recently just been found.
The most notable ones missing are an Aztec city (Tenochtitlan), British city (London), and Babylon that I can think of right now. Assyria, Tonga, Silla, Goths, Byzantines, and Ottomans are all IPs. It's also quite possible that Istanbul could still be an IP in Exploration but then become playable in Modern? :dunno:
Exploration Burma might still be on the table, as well as Antiquity Nabateans?

In one hand, I could have seen them just releasing everything quickly now that the info is out there. But I guess they went with the opposite, if the info is there for those who want and will look, then they don't need to rush and can just release their info at normal speed for those who are only paying attention on the main account content.

And another developer live stream? if she mentioned it now, I'm guessing it will be officially announced next week and come out on the week after next. Wasn't expecting any more live stream besides maybe one just the day before early access. Nice.

I wonder what the focus will be... will it go into greater depth on a specific Age? Jump around a lot? Maybe it'll be a sort of Q&A thing, where they have a bunch of saves they'll use to answer questions from chat or whichever website?
