I really like the ui, everything just feels natural and works as you’d expect it to. Obviously it’s somewhat limited by screen real estate, but even there they did a great job balancing panel sizes. Everything is very responsive regarding the touch interface. I’d agree that it feels more fluid as a touch interface as opposed to m/kb.
Just as I thought.
It's tough to make a UI that is great for both touch and traditional GUI interfaces. Civ VI UI seemed more touch oriented. I suppose 2K+Firaxis overestimated the growth/dominance of tablets. A couple of years ago it might have looked like everything was going in that direction...but the PC/Mac platform appears to have rebounded.
As long as the game has heafty computing requirements it will do better (marketshare wise) on the PC/Mac. I pretty much only play large/huge+ maps now (for an epic more immersive game). So as much I would be tempted to use a touch interface (i.e. iPad) for playing Civ VI (cos I've developed an RSI like strain in my right hand playing Civ) I think I will stick to the PC.
Thanks for the feedback
