The villagers need those. When I played the 1.2 leak the first night I found a village, it was wiped out by Zombies.

Well i went down into the mine with 5 iron picks and 1 diamond pick slightly used, came out with 1 well used diamond pick, bunch of cobblestone/redstone and 10 diamonds. I'm surprised people haven't hired me to be a miner :p

That's perhaps because your survivability is a bit lower than mine. :p I've never died in a mining trip. That's why I kill lava when there's an opportunity to kill it. Who knows? A mob might knock you back into lava and then BAM! Your stuff is gone. Although I am not as successful with finding diamonds, I do return with 1-2 stacks of iron, 1-2 stacks of redstone, some lapis and half a stack of gold per mining trip. Although in my previous trip, I found 10 diamonds in a big cave system next to an extended stronghold area. I could return with more but that's because I carry some stacked potions with me along with a stack of arrows. Another thanks to croxis for the shop counter plugin which enables stacking potions. :)

Bad news. Andrew11200 has stolen some iron from whiterun (EDIT: he's now banned, courtesy of croxis). Ferris stored it in the warehouse but forgot to secure them. About 4 stacks were lost.

The farm under my house has been griefed too! Sammygreeny stands accused of the damage, along with Lelanstu.

EDIT 2: I've also been tampering a bit with the permissions to build. Since Lelan was able to break into the whiterun granary without even being a resident just shows that a few reforms need to be passed.
EDIT 3: I've implemented some changes to Whiterun permissions. Let me know if something is wrong.

NB: pvp in whiterun is off.

I'm new to minecraft, and I saw this thread, and I was wondering, are there any servers that you guys host that aren't changed. Basically I just want to find a server where it's a multiplayer survival with no changes/mods. Hopefully someone on here has a game like that.

i have a creative server with no mods feel free to play on that send me a pm if you want the ip (if you want you can play on it as survival)

His is an exclusive club :P

I'm not home for the night. Email me if there continues to be issues on the server with that grief squad.

Also congrats to Swink for return to modship!

Perhaps it is time for a more exclusive world 9 map. But yes, let us wait for 1.2 to come out. I think we should arrange some chat disucssion (mibbit or steam chat) about new world in about 2 weeks time.

I think the 3.14 party should be a closing celebration. Shame we never finished that pumpkin church, however.

Indeed. We bit off more than we could chew there with the church. The rollback completely halted progress too and it was a painful lesson for all of us whiterun folk. Good thing Croxis the teacher guided us through that lesson: keep your account to yourself. :)

Something tells me that everyone would want a treehouse in the jungles of the next world. We could have a treehouse competition in the next world. It would mainly be a fierce architectural battle between ogr and pelt, though. :)

According to one new player, he/she found croxis' server on youtube, but he/she didn't remember the particular video. How is that possible?

I know of a video that was put on youtube back during World 3.

Computer update (using my parent's laptop for now) - my video card and hard drive (where Minecraft is) are shot, so I'm getting replacements. I can technically run my PC without the video card, but the monitor adapter doesn't fit the motherboard video slot. So, it could be a good 2 weeks before I'm back up and running.

I'm thinking about getting a Radeon HD 7950, but that thing takes up 3 slots...

You've got a half dozen people online at once at any given time it seems. Shouldn't take that long considering I placed every single block on Athens' church. :p (and those upside down stairs really would've helped with the arched windows)

I think Pelt would win, although ogr did have some nice buildings in the swamp (only saw them on the dynamic map, though). I'm envisioning some sort of biome with wooden bridges and ledges for homes everywhere in the trees, kind of like that one starting area in an old Everquest realm where the houses are in the trees. (I forget what it was called, but it was something I saw when watching my cousin play it about a decade ago).

Oh, and croxis, see this?

Ah, the Myst memories... :)

Also, casino is almost done. It's on the road to Whiterun if you want to check it out. Warning- sometimes mobs like to pop up there, but I've improved the lighting so it should be better.

Also, if somebody unfamiliar comes online and immediately goes off, ban them. 99% of the time that's griefing behavior. They want to grief, but when they see that someone's on, they flee.
