Civfanatics Survivor Challenge

The votes have been tallied and today's tribal council has been resolved:

CivCube voted for Archer_007
Archer_007 voted for Inter32
Inter32 voted for Archer_007
Sysyphus voted for Inter32

The result is inconclusive. Normally in the case of a tie I'd declare CivCube and Sysyphus safe for this round and I'd hold a run-off vote between Archer_007 and Inter32.

BUT Inter32 declared immunity this round and Archer_007 did not, so Archer_007 is eliminated.

ARCHER_007 will be the sixth member of our tribal council jury, whose vote will determine the Sole Survivor.

As always, any parting comments he may have are appreciated.

Tomorrow's (25-Oct) tribal council results will be tallied, as always, at 10AM East-USA.

This vote will determine who faces off against each other in the final jury determination, and the final juror in the tribal council.

The jurors are:
BENDERINO
SUPEREVIE
PLEXUS
ALEX THE GREAT
WILDFIRE
ARCHER_007
and whomever is voted out tomorrow.

Keep this in mind when making your selection.

The votes have been tallied and today's tribal council has been resolved:

CivCube voted for Sysyphus
Inter32 voted for Sysyphus
Sysyphus voted for Inter32

The tribe has spoken. SYSYPHUS will be the seventh and final member of our tribal council jury, whose vote will determine the Sole Survivor.

As always, any parting comments he may have are appreciated.

Attention:
BENDERINO
SUPEREVIE
PLEXUS
ALEX THE GREAT
WILDFIRE
ARCHER_007
SYSYPHUS

It's time to vote for the winner. PM me with our choice as soon as possible. Your choices are:

Inter32
CivCube

This time instead of voting for the one you want voted off, submit your vote for the one you want to WIN.

The results are in:

Superevie voted for Inter32
Archer_007 voted for CivCube
Sysyphus voted for Inter32
Alex the Great voted for CivCube
Wildfire voted for CivCube
Plexus voted for CivCube
Benderino voted for Inter32

CIVCUBE WINS!

So close yet so far...

I hate you all... except the ones that voted for me  ;)

CONGRATS TO CIVCUBE!!!! :band:

Wow...thanks to all who voted for me. :D

Hope that wasn't too anti-climactic... Posted just before I had to head out on an errand.

Congratulations to CivCube for pulling it off!

I wish I had $1,000,000.00 to give to him as a reward -- but I don't so he'll have to settle for bragging rights.

Inter32 played the game extremely well, turning a bad situation going into the tribal merger into the closest of close games.

And it was fascinating to witness the interplay between all of the players as the game progressed. I had a good (obsessive) time administering the game -- I hope you enjoyed playing it. And I hope that those who popped by to check it out enjoyed it too.

IF you're interested, don't hesitate to let me know in this thread, and starting next month some time (assuming there's enough interest) I'll start a new game.

I'd like players and observers to comment on the game -- reveal where the alliances gelled, what was being said in all those PMs, your strategies, if you HAD a strategy... Post it here. Don't be shy.

Thanx Mojotronica! :goodjob:

For me the key was thinking that as soon as someone of the alliance was voted off, that alliance ended with everyone else..

Going into the game at the beginning was a matter of luck; thankfully Tribe Darkshade didn't lose enough times for there to be any chance of being booted.

After that, it was a matter of laying low and letting others approach me, but still voting in the rounds. This way I wasn't viewed as a threat by others, but not too little of one to be voted off as a non-player.

The situation turned a little hairy when I agreed to an alliance with archer_007 and his comrades along with allying with Superevie. :crazyeye: I knew I had painted myself into a corner. If I voted for Superevie, as archer and WildFire wanted, I would have betrayed her and risk letting her get others to vote me off. On the other hand, if I voted for WildFire, as Superevie wanted, he and his allies would be alerted to a new enemy. To continue to remain non-threatening, I voted for Inter32, a player that was not being persecuted at the moment. This apparently was when Inter32 allied with Superevie, if I am not mistaken. ;)

I ended up allying with Inter32 as well, after he requested one in a PM. It was relatively quiet after that, with archer_007's group voting off those who were not voting, and eventually voting off each other. As it came down to four people, though....

Archer wants to vote you out.

He wants to vote YOU out."

We then agreed to both declare immunity and vote out archer_007. Little did we know how valuable this actually was, as Mojo revealed the result to be a stalemate, with archer_007 voted out on a technicality.

Last was sysyphus. His strategy was unknown, so I had to be careful. Inter32 and I agreed to vote him out. However, one issue still had to addressed: were either of these two trustworthy enough to go on with the alliance with Inter? Looking back at previous PMs, I deduced that Inter32 truly wanted me to go with him to the final round. Still, there was the possibility of sysyphus still having an immunity. If he voted with it, the chance of me going out was high.

The time had come for some dirty work. I didn't like it, but the nature of the game is backstabbing. I offered sysyphus an alliance to vote out Inter32 while at the same time voting for sysyphus. This way he would vote Inter32 out if he had an immunity. Luckily, it didn't appear that sysyphus had an immunity. Overall a very interesting game, albeit with decisions that I am not proud of.

I apologize for being so busy lately. The game seemed like a lot of fun. Perhaps next time, I guess I just didn't know I would need to be so vigorously invlolved. Congrats to all! :)

I had a strong alliance with Sysyphus. SeleucusNicator and Wildfire were supporting members. Civcube had us all fooled. I actully considered him part of the "inner group" with me and Sysyphus. I didnt know who I would have taken to finals if I had made it that far. I assume Sysyphus in retrospect.

I'd used it long ago thinking I was done for suspecting that Superevie's crew were going to oust me. I ended up wasting it.

I suspected you were lying to me in that PM, but after having voted against Inter32 on the previous round I figured I had no choice but to take the chance you were telling the truth, since allying with Inter against you was pretty unlikely. I should have saved my immunity.

Nonetheless, since I'd worked with Inter before that I'd chosen to vote for him in the final vote.

Congrats CivCube, you played smart.
:goodjob:

Before the merger it was all a matter of luck and selecting the weapons correctly. It was hard to survive that part because tribe Sibling loss a lot of times. So the last two challenges I talked with Evie and Xen and told them that we would send 2 Spears, 2 shields and 1 Sling. That worked out well twice.

After the merger IIRC I made an alliance with Evie, Xen, Alex and Plexus ( ). After Evie and Xen were voted off I considered the alliance finished. So I stood there and waited for someone to aproach me.
That's what Sysyphus did. :goodjob:. The alliance was CivCube, Sysyphus, Archer and Me.
We decided to vote off people randomly and not randomly . When it was down to the four of us I got really worried on what was going to happen.
It was then when CivCube appoached me. :goodjob:. At the beggining I didn't trust him too much because he had voted for me before, but i decided to take my risks. We first decided to vote for Archer when he sent these messages to both of us..

Lets vote out Inter32.

We decided to declare Immunity so we were sure no one of us would be voted off and that at leats one between Archer and Sysy would leave if they both didn't declare immunity.
Luckily for us Archer didn't declare Immunity and after that neither did Sysy..

In the final vote I made a big mistake by sending almost everyone a very shallow PM saying ''VOTE FOR ME''. I did this because that day I didn't had the time to make a personal explanation to each one of them of why they would have to vote for me. This mornong I thought about it and realised i had made a big mistake...

Anyways..

We rule CivCube!!! :band:
and CONGRATS again!!!

Well, good job to both of you. Inter, I would have voted for you if you hadn't voted for me. You stabbed me in the back.

I wanted to abstain :p

My only ally was acher, I just tried to make it seem like I had more. Worked out pretty well.
