Civic Buildings

Is it possible that you could do some units to. In c2c the building unit ratio seems a bit off. This is probably because making units are harder because of the animation but it would be really cool if you could do that

The units are harder to make for several reasons. Units need to fit into a niche in the combat system, and there are only so many niches. Units require art, which is hard to make/find, whereas Hydro's buildings only have a button. Also, SO was the one making units before I came, and he was also doing LHs, Techs, and other things, so there weren't as many added.

Time travel education -> All-time university (National wonder) : +20% science, +5 culture, + 5 Great person (scientist), -20 gold maintenance
Currency : All except No currency and Metal -> Allow Bank
Currency, Digital : Allows E-bank
Currency, Gold standard -> Allows Fort Know
Politics, Divine Right -> Allows Divine monument

Could Mad Scientist's Castle be enabled for Technocracy as well? It seems like it would fit there, though that would give Technocracy 3 buildings.

Ok, so, no buildings for the Immigration section?
How about:
- Immigration Department building = Open Borders civic. Formalises and restricts the immigration process with bureaucratic red tape, decreasing the civic's rebelliousness at the cost of gold.
- Border Vigilantes = Secure Borders and Closed Borders civics. Low hammer cost. Increases national rebelliousness, but decreases local rebelliousness and crime. Unhealthiness penalty. Spy protection.
- Migrant Education Fund = Open Borders and Skilled Workers Only. Decreases rebelliousness (better cultural integration), slight science increase, maybe a minor health increase, costs gold.

I was thinking also of refugee camps/ghettos, but that relies on war. The point being that under Open Borders you wouldn't get these areas to the same extent because refugees integrate into your society as part of the civic's population growth bonus and rebelliousness. Under the others refugees would be rejected and forced into horrible camps in marginal land, or really crowded ghettos. Perhaps it could be an event? Whenever a city is razed, it sets up an event to a random player (neither the city's owner or the aggressor) giving them the refugee camp in one of their cities, a building which is wholly negative and can't be sold off, unless they have Open Borders. Having Open Borders would allow you to opt for a +1 population increase in the city and temporary unhappiness when they get the event.

Despotism, People's Republic and Totalitarianism = Concentration camp. Good industry and millitary production bonous (making amunition) bonous at exspense of happyness, health and diplomatic relations.

Communism= Collective farm (joint with the agriculture civic)

no concentration camps please:blush:
Then why not remove the slavery civs, re eductaion cententers, the intolerant religion civs and everything else where people die? Dont get silly political correctness. Historys history. If you dont want to build em dont it your nation lol

Also there a big diffrence between a concentration camp and death camp. Look it up us british were the inventers of things :P Just call em work camps if it makes people feel better lol

O and another building for communists = Gulags. Crime reduction and industrly points ad happness expense.

I still dont see the logic seeing as its game where you can nuke entire cities, conduct bio warfare on cities and regilously supress your nation and enslave people.List other things in the game you can do build coliseums, build crusifiction Crosses and Stone people ect.

But O well. How about just rename them work camps? Its just they are the symbol of opression in moden day totalatrian regimes, be it the british empire, North Korea, China and countless others.

I'm with the ewok here... I'd much prefer NOT to have a Disney version of civ here. I was going to eventually propose the Concentration Camp as well. Why would we want to pretend it didn't happen? How many other human designed institutions have influenced the course of the world's nations in as profound a manner as this one? I'm not one to want to pretend it didn't happen. Its one BIG factor that gave us such moral right to stomp the crap out of the Axis. And without them, Isreal would not currently be a nation.

But I think we decided, a while back, that anything that falls into this 'potentially offensive' category should probably start going into a simple modmod for those who wish to include more mature material.

Therocracy= Grand Cathedral or Grand Palace of preists, some sort of religious bonous (not really keyed up on relgion)

Single party state = Party Head quaters Huge Happeness in city which is built, Unhappness elsewere

Fedral govermnet= Fedral Prisons. Crime reduction and Goverment stability. Unhappeness elsewere.

Condfedrancy = Local Govement Headquaters. Reduces maintinece cost in citys. Increases national rebellesness and military production. ( A fedral army in a confedrancys will be harder to raise)

Im with you on the simple mod mod. Let people decide if you want it in game. No one will force you. But I think not to include it at all abit hypocritical and a little offensive as its pretending it didnt happen. And we should be remembering, whether its in history or a game. Unfortunatly it is as integral to history as much as it is horrfic like slavery and the crusades, it just one of the mainly sad things humanity has gone through to get to better englightenment. But as I said maybe just tone it down to work camp or put it in a optional mod mod. How the conditions inside your "work camp" is up to the imagination.
