So is it just me, or does anyone else think its just plain unfair that foreign civs can change multiple civics per turn? I mean, what's up with that? My first time through as a Spiritual leader, I was thinking initially I would be able to do this also, but all I got was no anarchy and a crumby T-shirt that says "I can still only change one Civic at a time, I Lose."

You can change multiple civics at the same time just like them. Open up the civics advisor panel, select the combination of civics you want to switch to, and then pres the revolution button. You can switch all five in one go if you want (indeed it's more efficient to do so than doing them one at a time.

To add to what MrCynical said, don't accept the pop-up that says "Oooh you can implement Caste System, do you want to?". Click No and then open up the panel and do it from there.

With non-spiritual leaders it's possible thatyou'll end up with 2 turns of Anarchy after selecting multiple but I think (this is unconfirmed) that if I waited one turn after I got a new civic that I wanted to switch to, I could change 2-3 (never tried all 5) with still only 1 turn of Anarchy.

Yep. On Epic, you get one turn per civic switched.

Good to know - on Normal I'd get the extra turns if it was the turn I learned it on but if I waited a turn it was 1 turn for 2-3 changes. Thanks for the info! I might have relied on that which might have been bad.

Yes, it's never a good idea to just accept those civics pop ups. Better to use the civic advisor panel (press F3 or click the third button from the left in the upper right panel to get there).

The exact anarchy time depends on game speed quite a lot - I've seen it go as high as 6 turns on marathon.

That's all very well if you can remember it after you've been through all your city build queues. It's easy to forget sometimes :(

The length of Anarchy per civic change increases as the game goes on. On Epic, it becomes 2 turns for one civic change before too long.

Well, don't I just feel like an idiot now? I've been playing this #$@! game for a year and wondering why I can't beat Noble. Now it all makes sense ...

I could swear that I tried to change multiple civics one time and was denied ... Maybe it was during the infancy of my CIV experience and I tried to change to a civic that wasn't open yet.

At any rate, I'm so ready to take my turn as a spiritual leader now and test the frontier
