    here Ed says: encampment districts will unlock at bronze working...

    and obviously the lens system is important and a good source of info:

    Another important line from that article: "Later in the game, the districts are also available as a venue for specialists."

    And: "Here a system comes into play, which has some similarities to the founding fathers of Civilization 4: Colonization has. Unlike Civ 5 Great People in the sixth item by not always the same benefits, but they are now individually and give corresponding unique bonuses. What great person next in each category (Great General, Great Scientists, Great Prophet, etc.) is present and what this offers, may at any time be removed from a menu. Here you will also find an overview of how many points all players still missing until the next personality. That is also very important, because one has Civilizations lands a great person, the cost for the next person in the appropriate category for all players! Alternatively, a great person to be purchased at a stroke with a thick chunk of gold coins or points of faith; another source are also as usual Wonders."

    Big changes
    ...Great person cost of a category increases for all civs (only for that Category, no more avoiding Great Merchant points)
    ..can purchase Great Person through Gold
    ..Great Person points apparently civ wide? as opposed to per city

    [and of course the unique benefits per individual Great Person]
    <snip>

    Moderator Action: As a reminder, this isn't a discussion thread but is only for pointing out features, speculation snipped.

    Unit? or just tech/civic? military engineer.. builds roads in a controlled way

    (unlike the ancient roads built automatically by trade units)

    "It also contributes to his larger goal of reducing tile-by-tile micromanagement, while dramatically increasing the role of both domestic and international trade until you research military engineers in the mid-game and can build your own roads."
