Can you take someone's solar system or does it get razed

Same as in Vanilla, at Size 1 it gets autorazed and otherwise you get a choice between keeping or destroying it. Since you can't settle anywhere but in the preplaced terrain features anyway keeping a conquered city is a no-brainer in most cases, unless you know for sure that your enemy will re-capture it shortly.

Good question, it's most likely New Earth or the Avowers of Knowledge based on starting techs unless someone had extreme luck with wreckages/inhabited systems.

Those are a BUG feature and show how much of the game has passed, i.e. we are now in Turn 25 of 750.

I just found a tech Orbital Engineering from wreckage but I guess someone else got the value Wealth before me: by 1 or 2 turns if Tigranes is right.

Still, a useful find.

My fear of Paradise being completely isolated turned out to be unfounded, there seems to be plenty of room to the north. This means that all this radiation cloud black hole super nova wall does is keeping me from invading Paradise. Oh well, let's be friends then!

Yup, beelined the rather expensive Light Craft Manufacturing for my trait boosted Mining Facilities and Monarchy. The question I'm asking myself now is whether to switch to it right away or do a double switch together with Pacifism later to save a turn of anarchy.

Having as many hammers as I do does have its perks, I built a Training Compound and more Scouts than I know what to do with and Research ever since since my tech progression was lagging behind my production.
